TL;DR: I ordered delivery off their website. I had missing items and the manager told me they don't have delivery, made excuses about my missing food, and then the owner insisted I couldn't get a refund for my missing items.
Well, this is the first time I've ever had to change a rating on a review. Today I decided to order online for pickup and saw they had also had a delivery option. I ordered veggie pho and chicken pho with extra veggies (an optional add on presented via checkbox on the order page). The order page for veggie pho promised "All noodle soups served with bean sprouts, lime, jalapenos, basil and cilantro." Did I get the bag of toppings? No. Did I get my extra veggies that I paid $3 for? No.
So I called. The manager (Ashley) insisted that they don't do delivery. What a joke. I told her I didn't order from Grubhub or another delivery service, I ordered straight off their website. After I was able to get her to stop talking over me, she finally had someone look up my order, made some excuse about how the cashier received my order and rang up everything, and then insisted that the delivery person must not have picked up my missing veggies. The veggies that would have been bagged with the rest of my order in a double knotted plastic bag had they actually been packed. Oh yeah, and the one bag of bean sprouts, etc., had two leaves of basil.
She offered me a store credit. The problem with that is, this restaurant has been continually slipping on their service, and I decided at that moment that I'd rather go back to Pho Bac with their terrible customer service because at least their food was reliable.
So I told her I was charged money for food I didn't receive, and I wanted that money back. She went on a soliloquy about how she would have to call the owner and more excuses about how she couldn't refund online orders, and promised I'd get my money back. I asked her when that would be and she started talking in circles again. After I insisted that I would wait on the phone for an actual answer, the owner got on the phone and told me that he couldn't refund my money.
It is clear that this restaurant cares more about their bottom line than customer service. This will be my last time doing business with this restaurant.
-----original review----- I order from here at least 3-4 times a month. Good, solid pho. They also recently improved their takeout containers so now you get you food in a soup bowl. My only complaint is that you never know if you'll get a decent amount of basil or none at all. Recently it's been leaning towards none. Also, the $3 "extra veggies" are not soup veggies (i.e. sprouts, basil etc) but rather about a half a cup of steamed broccoli, cabbage and shredded carrots. I didn't ask enough questions so I won't complain about that, but $3 is exorbitant. The customer service is way better than the other place in town.
I saw someone ranting about the brisket...idk what to tell you bro, it's shaved brisket. If you want thick, smoked brisket slices in your pho,...
Read moreI'm fairly new to Vietnamese cuisine having only tried Pho at a Thai restaurant before (10/10 still recommend though) and this place was recommended by one of my soldiers as a great place to start. Pho here comes with a side of bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime and cilantro and I love Thai basil. Add these if you want while your soup is still getting happy, noodles soaking up the hot broth and loosening up, and let it cool as they work their magic. You do need to let it sit until the noodles are done: they will loosen up from a tight disc. So that the meat is tender, boiling water is added to the bowl after the other ingredients, and it's served immediately. The meat is cooked by the boiling water being poured on so it's fresh and super tender!
Smells like spring at the beach. Not suntan oil, margaritas and coconut; an actual, clean, salty, breezy beach. And then add your herbs, sprouts and/or lime and wow!
This was simultaneously extremely comforting and refreshing food!!
Note: In the army this is what we call a "two man carry" so, for those of you who don't finish your first plate at family get togethers, bring a buddy or you'll have no room for dessert! So disappointed I couldn't try any this time 😅. Huge bowl of soup 🍲😋.
However, this would be great the evening after an ACFT or intense workout or hard day.
The chilli oil literally slaps. However, if you're sensitive to spice like me but want an extra kick, my server (I didn't ask permission to post her name... Also I forgot to ask her name 😶) recommended trying the spicy broth instead. I shouldn't have sinus problems for a while lol. If you've got some allergies bugging you or you're stuffy and sick( pickup available, don't go to a public restaurant sick please, people) grab that chilli oil to go with. If you want the challenge (yes, I know but it was a challenge for me ok?) be sure to get the hot Vietnamese jasmine tea to aid you.
No. No You don't need sweetener, but do you.
Your buddy doesn't like noodles or Vietnamese food? They have delicious looking sandwiches too, but I'd personally recommend the 'well done steak' pho.
Anyone trying the dessert, appatizers or sandwiches, hit me up with a comment on your experience!
Atmosphere 10/10: but laid back. Food 11/10: so good 👍 Price 10/10: enough for two of me so worth $20 for soup and tea. Best time: before the dinner rush around 5:00pm maybe arrive a...
Read moreI travel a lot and like to swing by here at least once per stay because their Pho is fantastic! I paint this place through a rose-tinted lens most times but each visit reminds me why I love this place. First let me start with the worst because the food is great and really that's the main reason you're considering this place, right?
The atmosphere in this place is strange. It's got a vibe of seafood meets pub but it's a Pho house. The table tops are very clean and look nice but everything below that just feels and looks slimey for some reason. I went between 5 and 6 pm on a Thursday. Absolutely no rush what so ever but there was just food pieces and stuff all over the floor- like they didn't have a broom or something. The ladies restroom floor was just slimey for some reason; not freshly mopped or anything but I still felt like I was going to slip and fall. That said, all the important parts were perfectly fine - tabletops were clean, toilets were fine, the counter tops in the bathroom weren't slimey either. It was just weird.
Now the food speaks for itself. Grabbed myself a Lychee martini for the first time and that thing was fantastic. I'm not a martini person (girl likes her rum, ya know?) but it was great and maybe a little expensive ($9 bucks!)
Grabbed the summer rolls (a personal favorite) which were great and came out very quickly with a good peanut sauce to go with it. At around 6 bucks, I found that a good price. I also enjoyed the rare steak Pho and there was so VERY much of it. It was fantastic. Also, I'm really glad the waiter read my mind and double checked that I wanted the spring rolls like I initially asked for. I definitely meant the summer rolls (non-fried, big difference). He saved my experience.
This is a great place for group meetups and seems to be the busiest on...
