So I'll start this off by saying I'm a very patient person. I used to come here all the time and I've always expected to wait 20 to 30 minutes to receive whatever I ordered. It's so close to my house that I deal with it and I don't really mind waiting in the drive thru lane. I just put the order in the app and head there.
The other day as I was in line for check out for Walmart I started ordering. By the time I ordered, checked out, walked to my car, and sent a few texts about 6 to 8 minutes passed before I got to the drive thru. It was a totally empty line! That never happens! In fact there were no cars around, it was actually dead inside too.
I was so stoked to get my two drinks and head home. Then, of course, something bad had to happen. I tell them my name at the speaker and drive around. As soon as I stop a young angry looking woman opens the window and proceeds to lecture me about ordering on the app. According to her "You aren't allowed to come pick up mobile orders for 15 minutes after you order". Which I know is just false. On top of that she proceeds to tell me how inconsiderate and rude it is that I'm there early and messing things up for them. After that spiel I thought I'd have to wait on my drink only for someone else to immediately give them to me. That's right. They were already ready. My drinks were the two drinks that were next to her as she dogged me out for.... existing?
I didn't drink the drinks because I was kind of afraid to after that and got an app refund. My biggest regret is that I just froze and took the abuse. No one should have to be treated like trash for being a normal customer.
All in all I'll probably avoid this place for the next six months until it cycles through employees since I usually don't see the same person for very long. That's saying something because I stopped here 3x a week for the past two years.
Just wanted to warn some folks out there. Maybe one of y'all can be brave and bold enough...
Read moreI ordered two hot teas (Honey Citrus & Mint Majesty), on a busy Saturday morning. The couple behind me ordered several, complex coffee/tea beverages.
As a former barista, I’m privy to how quickly the drinks I ordered should’ve been prepared. While I anticipate a wait, 30 minutes for hot tea is outrageous.
However, I watched the couple who ordered after me get every single drink they ordered ahead of me. Ultimately, I asked for a refund.
Sadly, the gentleman with locs (who appeared to be training a new employee) right next to the register heard me inquire about a refund and called a cashier over to complete it.
This was a great opportunity to realize what I ordered (as I had to repeat it back to the cashier), and make it speedily. Especially considering how little time it would take to prepare.
There is a sign on the door that shows the current hours due to Training & Development. If patrons are expected to wait for upwards of 30-40 minutes for their food/drink as the store trains new employees, the least we deserve is attentive and accommodating service.
It’s also disappointing to know that these careless practices are being passed down to future employees. As it was not only an opportunity to make it right with the customer, but to set a standard of excellence for the trainee.
I will not patronize this location...
Read moreThis place is CONSISTENTLY BAD/SLOW/INATTENTIVE. I rarely review unless the experience is a constant bad. This location is the toe-cheese of Starbucks locations. I've placed mobile orders 20 minutes in advance knowing how bad they are, show up, and still wait another 20 minutes. I've seen people walk in, order, and get their order, all within the 20 minutes of in-store wait time for my mobile order, after a 20 minutes advanced order before even arriving. Lol. There's no winning here. Drive-thru is a slow as it gets. Orders are consistently wrong. Consistently out of a top-selling item like cold brew. I've mobile ordered stuff, then when I arrive and am offered a less expensive, I'm never offered a refund/credit for the difference. This location is just bad, poorly managed, and frankly a waste. Not far from my house, but I'd rather drive to Atlanta Road and go out of my way to have the order done right. 99% of the time the issue is too many people standing around talking. 8 employees in-house and only 2 are working. If you can make it to another location, don't waste your time/energy here. You're certain to disappointed. The dead giveaway should have been the sub-90 Health Inspector score at a Starbys. How's that...
