We were looking for a brunch spot in the area, mainly for mimosas and Cafe Blue popped up. I live in the area but had never come by when open. I thought it was a casualty of Covid but no, their operating hours are 10-5 or10-6 so please check their site for times. The interior has a little industrial feel, the floor was tacky, possibly from recent glaze surfacing. There are a few bar height tables and seating along the wall. I noticed a brisk take out business. Looks like it is family owned and mom was the chef. They have a variety of dishes, we all chose shrimp and grits. This was not planned we all just had a taste for them. We ordered at the counter and also ordered mimosas. My aunt chose a flight of flavors which included, strawberry, blueberry, mango, cranberry and orange. We had 2 bottles between 4. Okay, so lets talk about food... Fantastic! The shrimp was perfect, not rubbery or under cooked. Seasoned petfectly. Grits were homemade, creamy. The sauce! It was so good my aunt ordered more, i was mad i didn't think of it first. So creamy.. I want to try the chicken and waffles next but I'll make sure im their before closing. Again, dont pass this spot, its...
Read moreSorry I came. I was really hoping for this to be my next spot. 1st. I never like paying for a meal with tip if I haven’t even sat down yet. What am I paying for and how much tip should I really be leaving when I haven’t even experienced anything yet. ..2nd - The place is dirty. I wonder what the rating is as it wasn’t up at the register. Tables were dirty with only one guest there and two workers at register. Windows dirty and dust all over. Manager not good as she should know that the restaurant should always be clean when guest arrive without dirty tables and chairs around during slow periods. Even another guest that came in after me had to clean the seat that was dirty. The food wasn’t bad eggs sausage and White toast but awful coffee and not worth $15. I hate leaving these type of reviews but as a business owner, I like being aware of how my business is being represented to the public when I am not there 😞 Lastly I got a fake smile from management as the smile on her face disappeared as soon as it appeared. Really disappointed. I hoped for a...
Read moreTried here while out running some errands, after reading reviews about their grits and seeing they're Black Owned. Tucked away in a small shopping center, I smelled the food when pulling up! Greeted immediately upon walking in. Menus are available by phone QR code.
I ordered the Chicken N' Waffles and side of Grits (had to try them). 5STARS for everything! Chicken could have been seasoned a little more BUT given my intention to do better health wise, I probably dodged my unhealthy dose of salt lol
GRITS WERE BOMB! I think they use Parmesean cheese, idk but they were good and the side portion is pretty large! If I ate seafood, I'm SURE the Fish n' Grits HIT!!
I was able to go right in and have a Seat. Your order is made fresh. Probably waited about 12-16minutes after ordering. Music is good! Ambiance is chill, kind of like a coffee shop vibe, with good Food and Mimosa's !!!
Will be back when...
