The Spiced Apple has been my favorite spot for lunch in north Georgia for years. They generally have excellent food and service, but today I went to pick up my order and ended up just leaving without my food because of the lack of safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID. The workers appeared to be wearing masks, but there were many customers gathered at the front to check out who were not. The waitresses work very hard to keep up and are friendly, despite being stressed. Young woman at the register was rude. She looked over Facebook posts with customers while I and others waited to pay. I readily accepted an apology from the customers, who didn’t see me, but the employee told them it was fine, that I really hadn’t had to wait. Message: It’s okay to ignore customers...
