Fiesta Mexicana — Restaurant in Dalton

I absolutely love this place! I’ve went out of my way to go here for the last couple of years. I Lived in Fort Oglethorpe however I used to live in dalton and I fell in love with this place, so now I drive 45 minutes every time I want Mexican. The waiters have always been super kind and helpful and very on point and I’m a very picky eater but until recently they’re never messed up my order at all! With that being said, I would have given them five stars except the last time I went it was an awful experience. My normal waiter wasn’t there and the person we ended up with was very rude. After bringing us our chips he made us move tables and that’s wouldn’t have been a big deal except apparently the people next to us didnt like that our children where playing at the table(they weren’t being super loud or running around simply laughing and playing) and I guess they made a complaint so the waiter then rudely asked us to move once again and moved us to the entire other side of the restaurant and at which point he basically forgot us. We no longer got our refills unless we got up and went up front and asked for them once we finally got our food which took forever it was cold and our order was wrong and when I asked for him to remake it he simply took it too the back and wiped the stuff I didn’t want off and swapped the plate and brought it back. So there was now guacamole reside all over my plate. I am allergic to alvacodos. When I complained about this he seemed angry and reluctant to fix it but he did. After all of that he managed to take so long to bring my food back out that everyone else was already done eating. Then he decided to add himself in a tip on a check. A 30% tip.. (which you can ask to be removed and I did of course!) but that’s not the point. He was very rude and unhelpful and still tried to over charge us on a tip that he didn’t even deserve. Now don’t get me wrong most of the time I leave very big tips because I’ve been a waitress and I know how hard it is to make money, but you must earn that by being kind and helpful. When I attempted to make a complaint the managers seemed to care less. Unless they contact me and apologize we won’t be returning which saddens me dearly considering it was my favorite...

Went to eat with my family in which was the 1st time in a while we all able to due to conflicting schedules. The waitress “ALONDRA” already seemed to have a salty attitude right out of the gate because we ask for more chips, in which she never brought. We had to ask a bust boy to grab us some, & when she seen that transpire, she then asked us about them & again had snarky attitude. I disregarded it & gave her benefit of the doubt, thinking.. “well maybe she’s just new.” We got our food in a pretty prompt time, but my very 1st bite had nearly a 1 & 1/2 ft black hair in it.The table next to us even witnessed it. I immediately had to pull it out of my mouth, set it aside & Alondra came over & set our fresh napkins on top of the hair I set aside to show her. I had to step outside & get fresh air because I was very nauseous. There was not the 1st apology or anything, & honestly the way we were treated was as if they were racist because they were only speaking back & forth in Spanish, & only laughed about the situation. Very disappointed to say the least, because our family actually has only had good experiences & enjoyed it there. I even went in to explain the situation to a guy who said he was the manager, & there was still no apology regarding the patronizing treatment we received. May seem small to some, but character goes a long way with me & I can’t support a place that has this type of heart behind it. I pray they get a change of heart & realize that all people matter, & the “service” w/ the heart you “serve”...

We decided to try Fiesta after a recommendation of a waiter in another restaurant. We had tried 6 other Mexican with most below average results. We were seated promptly and chip and salsa were brought to us. Our waiter took our orders after explaining items on the menu where we had questions. Our drinks came quickly however things slowed after that. Our waiter was being asked to handle more customers than should been expected to include a party of 16. He had to be his own bartender a good portion of the even. He did his best ho address all his customers. Our good arrived in an acceptable time frame and was the best Mexican food we’ve had in Dalton. The check took a long time to receive as our waiter was swamp. We had to ask the manager for this.
