I waited in line for over 10 minutes, and when I finally reached the register, the employee was extremely rude and unhelpful. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, and quite honestly, she should not be working in a customer-facing role.
To make matters even worse, while I was trying to make a simple purchase, the employee was chatting with a friend, attempting to make a smoothie, and half-heartedly looking for the gift card I requested—all at the same time. Instead of focusing on helping the customer in front of her, she was clearly more interested in her personal conversation. This lack of focus and disregard for customer service is unacceptable.
When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told "We don’t have a manager on duty." That response is not only unprofessional—it’s unacceptable. I was trying to purchase a gift card, something I’ve done many times before, and was told they couldn’t find them with no further assistance offered.
I understand that high school students are often hired during the summer, but basic respect and the bare minimum in customer service should still be expected. This experience was frustrating, disappointing, and completely avoidable. The girl behind the counter had long hair that wasn’t properly tied up in addition to wearing no gloves. I saw her scratch her hair multiple times and continue to make smoothies, again, with no gloves or hand washing. Some man came from the back texting on his phone. I assume he was the manager because he had on a tropical smoothie polo shirt. His pants and shirt were visibly dirty as if he hadn’t washed them in a while. He came straight out of the back and began touching the smoothies/food. He initially had no gloves on. He put them on for a brief second, then took them off and went to the back again. When he came out for the 2nd time, he was texting and laughing at something on his phone. He proceeded to scratch an area around his mouth and pull the food out of the oven WITH NO GLOVES. We never saw either employee wash their hands. He put gloves on to dress the food without washing his hands or even sanitizing and at that point we requested our money back. After waiting 30 minutes past that time, I was told someone else had picked up my order and offered no resolution. When I asked for a refund, I was told there was nothing to be done. I asked for a manger was told there was not one there. The two workers seemed way in over there head, but never offered an apology or a resolution to my $40 order with no product provided. There are several more missing details here but this was the gist of it. Edited to add - before submitting this review I went through the corporate website provided details of my experience and have received no response. In reading through some of the google reviews, I see this location seems to have an ongoing problem with low staff during busy hours.
