On Friday, August 9, 2025, I drove to my Wendy's Store 1650 on Covington Hwy near Austin Dr. While in the parking lot, I placed an order on the Wendy's mobile app for a Cobb salad and the Free Friday fries. I waited about 2 minutes then got into the Drive-Thru line. About 2 minutes later, my food arrived through the window. I drove off rushing home thinking I was about to enjoy my meal. I had driven to that location especially to order the salad because it was made great there on a previously stop . But this time, I was very disappointed. The temperature of the salad was warm... it wasn't even room temperature.... it was very warm, like it had been sitting on the grill with the chicken for a while. The chicken was warm, but so was the lettuce, tomato, cheese, eggs, cucumbers and all the toppings that go with it. It was 90° in Georgia at night time. You cannot serve a hot salad sitting out like that and not expect the consumer getting sick.
I called the restaurant just to ask them how did they prepare their salads, because I assume that the salad sits in the cooler until it is time to put the freshly grilled chicken on it. My purpose for calling store 1650 was to a let them know the salad was hot and the dangers that could cause and be asked him how they make the salad.
The person who answered the phone was a young female who a was confused about which Wendy she was at. When I lost my complaint she hung up the phone while I was in it sentebce. I called back six more times until some female answer the phone claiming to be the general manager. She was kind of salty at first, but then she remembered that she was supposed to be a professional and she handled the call she apologized for the food and said she would talk to the young lady well I wasn't sure if she would actually do that. I wasn't sure if she was the majage or the young lady who hung up on me.
Bottom line...I was served hot salad from Wendy's 1650 and was hung up on when I called to complain about it. Food safety is no joke; neither is food poisoning. Does store 1650 staff need retraining and encouraged to take their job seriously 2 mmbecause it affects the health of people that come there to buy food.
So what do I want? I want a refund and an apology. I can't waste my hard earned money or risk my health on food that's going to make me sick.Nor will I tolerate disrespect when I've been wronged I sent the above email to Wendy's customer care on the 9th of August. I received a response on the 21st of August stating that this has been sent to the store management. It's 3 days later and I haven't heard from the franchise manager of store 1650. I guess my concern is not that important to them so I'm putting it on Google to let others know to be aware...
Read moreI guarantee you no one in the entire history of Google review has ever made it a point to list a review as much as I am right now. I am literally driving into another restaurant and I'm talk texting this review. This is the worst Wendy's in all of life. I thought that I had learned how to deal with their horrible service and long lines by not going through drive thru. But tonight was a brand new low for all of customer service. So we walk into the restaurant four people look Us in the face and no one says a word. I looked at my clock to make sure that I didn't trip to early and I wanted to catch the time. after 3 minutes someone finally spoke to me. Now before these three minutes there was some drama going on with the staff apparently. somebody who works there was very upset and she walked straight out of the door and they didn't know what was going on. Finally after getting some attention and service i cracked a joke to kind of cut the tension and lighten the mood. Somebody who was obviously doing someone else's job came up to the register and actually said what you want. As I was placing the order for my niece I realize that she wasn't all the way paying attention which is fine. When it was my turn to place my order the cashier literally walk off. I cannot make this up the girl didn't say hold on or anything. she walks off in the middle of taking my order! I look to the woman next to me and I asked her how long she been there waiting on her food. The young woman had already had her drinks for fifteen minutes. I looked down at my clock again I have now been standing here in this establishment for 12 minutes from the time that I began to watch. Not even wanting to unnerve my patience I picked up my niece's hand I walked out of the door and I proceeded to lecture her on spending her money on places that are going to appreciate her business. I will never go to this Wendy's again. I will be writing a letter. And I'm going to highly suggest that somebody just come and shut that sucker down. Don't waste your time going to this place...
Read moreI pulled into the drive through at first and a sign was there on the mic box that stated they did not take Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay at that particular location. It was weird but that was fine with me since I had my physical card. The next thing that happened as I was looking at the menu is the person on the mic said "we're only taking orders inside", in my head I said, "that's weird", again because the mic worked perfectly fine and when I walked in I observed more than enough people to place an order. As I walked in I went straight to the bathroom and there were kids in there, which was fine. The bathroom was pretty clean and had soap and napkins. I washed and headed to order my food. There were other people in line and not a long wait. When I placed my order I asked for fresh fries and a burger, the person who took my order seemed to be the shift manager and clearly said aloud fresh fries to the fry cook. I paid with my card and waited for my order. My order was out in under 5 minutes which was pretty good then I got Ketchup and walked to the car. When I was getting ready to leave I ate a fry and what do you know, cold as ice. As if I didn't ask for fresh fries, smh. I had to walk back in and ask them to cook fresh fries in which the manager had no problem and even stated to the girl working over there that he had asked for fresh fries. I got my fresh fry, thanked them and headed back to the car. I figured my sandwich was good but was thrown off as I was eating and drool either came from my mouth or the sandwich. I threw it away and spit it out immediately bc I did not want to assume. This could be a great location but I believe because of where it is, they have chosen to not care and that's sad. The owner should do better at making sure this store is at tip top shape and the people are doing there best at...
