Morning Star Espresso — Restaurant in Gig Harbor

I came through 03/24 at approx 11am and there was a blonde gal working the window and a tall brunette running the machine. I ordered a 20 oz americano with white coffee, peanut butter and toasted marshmallow with almond milk. I had to repeat my order 3 times and emphasize I can’t have dairy. Well, I am now unfortunately very sick due to dairy being in my beverage. I know for a fact it was due to the coffee I was given as I prepare my own meals due to my allergies. They steamed the milk which I did not ask for and it appears it was steamed in a pitcher that previously had dairy in it. I will not be returning as my trust is now gone, but the owner really needs to emphasize to these baristas that people have allergies and I’m not just blowing smoke when I specifically ask for non dairy milk as creamer. I have been frequenting Morning Star Espresso for years. The girls are happy to take my picky order and serve me with a "smile" (the kind we get these days with having to wear masks). The girls were quick to remember me and my coffee and make it the way I like it everytime. About the masks.... Morning Star is a small business that is under the mandates of the state. Like most people they would rather not have to wear them, or ask us to wear them. Unfortunately there are rules(remember, STATE MANDATED) that need to be followed in order for this small business to stay open and serve us daily. Regardless of your opinions (Which are 100% yours to have) I think it's important to remember to take it up with the rule makers and not the makers...

It’s good half the time and not the other half. I know when I pull up which baristas are going to make my order wrong. I order the same thing every time. Also it’s a difference price every time which is whatever but it’s like around 50 cents difference and I think the owner should know that it’s being charged differently because I don’t want her getting screwed. The two blondes make it very wrong and I had to walk one through how to make it because she didn’t know how. It’s an incredibly easy drink lol.
