They had so many choices of toppings for a cinnamon bun I was literally overwhelmed but this place, OMG, this place is amazing! For my first time I got the mini buns with orange icing and a regular bun with regular icing just to try the basics. The regular bun is HUGE and they put tons of icing on it. This thing would easily work for 2 as it is so rich you can't it at in one sitting. I took everything home so my mom could try it as well. She was in heaven. I will say this, their mini buns reheat very well and stayed soft and moist but the larger bun didn't fair reheating as well. It got very hard around the edges. So I'd say this is definitely a eat the day you buy it sort of thing. The have a cinnamon bun cake you can buy, it looked amazing, but I'm not sure how well it would work out unless you picked up say just 1or 2 hours before you were going to serve it because I'm thinking there is no way to successfully reheat that puppy. I can't wait to go back and try some of their seasonal flavors. I'm in South Chandler tho and they are way way up in Mesa so I prolly won't be making too many trips for a $6...
Read moreThe first thing I will say is that I now know of 3 acceptable places to get a cinnamon roll from: your home, cinnabon, and cinnaholic.
The rolls itself is done pretty well soft dough that is not dry and a good amount of cinnamon. I would have preferred a bit more gooey mess in it such as cinnamon but that's just my preference.
If you are a cream cheese frosting fan probably go with something else here. I had to separate and eat a spoonful of just frosting to confirm that it was indeed cream cheese frosting and not vanilla. It really was like vanilla frosting pretending to be something else.
Overall it was good deserving of 4 stars but I wasn't to impressed. I think this very week would be many peoples favorite dessert places. I grew up making homemade cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting and it is one of my favorite dessert to this day. So I probably have a higher bar then most.
I would recommend but would just caution that those who have grown up with homemade cinnamon rolls that it might not hit your...
Read moreYes this place has just opened so you are going to have a long wait. The staff are still adjusting and the location is getting the Gilbert bump in traffic. Anything new people slam the first week or two and then traffic slows down to normal. So you can either try this now and be prepared to wait or hold off a couple weeks.
Staff was friendly, warm and extremely busy.
Cinnamon Rolls are vegan. So understand these are not your grandma's recipes however they are warm, light and enjoyable. I do agree with another review asking for a stronger cinnamon flavor in the roll itself. The original cinnamon roll runs $5.25 and it's a nice selection. There are so many different toppings, and frostings, that you can overwhelm your taste buds. Take it easy first and try the basic then start working on different toppings or frostings to give yourself a different experience each time.
I do think it is worth a try for anyone who appreciates a cinnamon roll. Also they have a vegan brownie and...
