This was my 3rd time there to eat in 5.5 years (I'm disabled and can't afford to go out often). My eldest daughter called and said her daughter (obviously my grand daughter) said she wanted to visit Gramps on veterans day, so they took me out for lunch(12:00 p.m.) at Firebirds. My lunch was free with the purchase of another meal. Thank you, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, for honoring our United States military veterans with a delicious meal (all day long) off your regular menu. I haven't eaten a free meal on Veterans Day ever, that I can recall. Being disabled (but not a disabled vet) and living on a small fixed income, I decided that I'd partake this year. The food was delicious (as it has been every time I have eaten there). Staff was professional, friendly, and checked in often at our table. My daughter and I both had a half rack of BBQ ribs that were tender and delicious, I had french fries and a fruit cup with my lunch, they also served a small round loaf of fresh made still hot bread đ, with a light coating of butter on The bread it reminded me of my grandmother's homemade bread. My granddaughter had their homemade fresh fried in their own light crispy batter, with french fries. My granddaughter & I each had a lemonade đ that was the best I've had in any commercial business. My daughter drank a glass of water. Also, honestly, I can't remember what side she had with her BBQ ribs & fruit cup. The items I chose to like here were those that we have eaten in the 3 or 4 times we had eaten there. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. However, they were surprisingly busy for lunch. It was also the first time I ate on their covered patio, all windows open. It was a beautiful day. I keep forgetting photos, but I'll catch on and remember one of these times. I'd like to say a special thanks to the staff at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill to the chefs and kitchen staff. Our food was delicious, and your attention to detail is astounding. To the matradee who was cheerful with a big friendly smile, thank You for the wealth of information you gave me as a reply to my questions, you know your job well and it shows. To the wait staff and servers, thank you for keeping up at our table even though you were very busy. All in all, our Veterans Day 2023 lunch was a wonderful family experience. Wrapping up, again, thank Firebirds Wood Fired Grill staff for a great meal and a great experience all...
Read moreNever mind the fact that several years ago I was a server at the Chandler Firebirds, I still am very partial to the restaurant! I love the different, more contemporary atmosphere at the Gilbert location. In particular, my husband and I like the bar area. Last night we sat right next to the fireplace. Great ambience. The happy hour at Firebirds is unbeatable. Fabulous pricing and delicious food. The Double Black Diamond Martini is their specialty and itâs only $7. Well drinks are $5. Yesterday was our anniversary so we did it up right! We took our time and our server, Gabriella, was very accommodating to our wishes. My husband and I each had a couple of the DBD martinis and we shared the Fired Up Shrimp and Crispy Cauliflower Shared Plates. Delicious! The shrimp had a light breading and was tossed in a creamy, siracha sauce, served on a bed of lettuce. The cauliflower had the perfect crunch and was tossed in a sweet, and slightly spicy, sauce. Both appetizers were wonderful. My husband had joined Firebirds Inner Circle (he receives emails of specials and a birthday offer, yearly) and so for dinner he ordered the NY Strip special he had been emailed. This offer was only valid for 3 days, and our timing was perfect for this. The steak was 10 oz (the regular NY Strip is 14 oz) and came topped with herb butter and a loaded baked potato. The regular price of this meal would have been $35. He had this special $20! He was plenty full so felt the 10 oz steak was a good size (after those appetizers!). In addition to the meal, we split a full size BLT salad because it was less expensive than each of us ordering a BLT side salad with our steaks. This salad has been a favorite of ours for years. Firebirds has some of the best ranch dressing and the salad is served cold and everything tastes so fresh. I enjoyed the 7 oz. filet mignon (there is also a 9 oz. available) with the Southwest Au Gratin Potatoes. My dinner was delicious but I have to fully disclose, how was better than mine! Next time I know what to order differently! The bread is baked in house and they serve it with their meals. Itâs always warm and fresh and itâs a favorite of ours. We wanted dessert but had no room left in our bellies. Maybe next time weâll âjustâ do the appetizers and then...
Read moreEverytime I've been here, the food is phenomenal. I get either the filet or New York for obvious reasons. I'm not a cave man so I don't like my steak raw and have them butterfly that mug and cooked medium well. Super tender and almost no fat. Yes thank you and you're welcome. The mashed potatoes are ready to go, don't need gravy salt or pepper. The street corn is a bit hit or miss. Some days they soak it in lime juice and some days they give the right amount of squeeze. But if you're ordering street corn it sounds like you like a little flavor in your life, so too much lime isn't really too much if you feel me. The complimentary bread is good, not great but good enough. Pro Tip: order extra butter with the bread. They try to pawn off a tiny dish that's supposed to feed the table, look the server directly in their eyes and request they do the right thing and bring everyone at the table their own serving of butter. The atmosphere is nice and a little romantic. Keep that in mind boys, when you bring some guy you barely know here because he is in town for some work bs. Keep in mind, absolutely no one here thinks you're special because this is a "work" dinner. So keep your voices down when your talking numbers or agendas, again no one cares and it's a bit douche. But for the rest of us studs, you take your lady here for a romantic dinner and it's almost a guarantee the neighbors will know your name. If you can't seal the deal after taking the lady here you might need to move to the phillis and just pay for it. The service is good. They don't bother you or try to wipe every crumb off your lap while you have any sauce running down your chin. Go to Ruth's if you want that awkward experience. Last but not least, don't be scared of the brusselsprouts. Yeah I know, brusselspouts are gross. We'll try them from somewhere that knows how to cook them. Again, you are...
