11/8/25: still superb. My sister wanted excellent food to celebrate the big 5-0 mile marker and Firebirds was her choice. It did not disappoint. They added peppers to the creamy deviled eggs but luckily they were not IN the eggs, just laying on top (easily picked off & discarded).
The tomahawk pork chop was excellent seasoned, the au gratin potatoes were a bit crusty on top (could have done w/o that) and the grilled street corn was cold (not sure if that is normal ... ?). My sister enjoyed her prime rib immensely. Despite my crunchy taters & cold corn, it was still a wonderful meal.
Our server, Danielle, was polite & attentive. No complaints there. It is a bit pricey, which is why we have only visited for very special occasions. If you're ever looking to treat yourself, Firebirds is a great place.
10/22/23: Amazing place: food, service, ambiance. Firebirds has the whole kit and kaboodle as my Mom would say. :-)
It has a very swanky vibe to it, we almost felt underdressed. We arrived Saturday evening around 4:30 and were seated out on the patio. You get a workout pulling out their very heavy non-cushioned metal chairs, and the table did seem a bit small for four people, but we managed.
Our server, Kristen, came to the table immediately to inquire about our beverages of choice. When she returned with waters, she asked if we wanted straws which won me over immediately (we said no). She was very attentive to refills and just in general. In fact, we were there to celebrate my sister's birthday, but aside from a card on the table, we did not mention it in Kristen's presence. But she had the mindfulness to notice the card and ask if we were celebrating something. Despite my sister "hiding" the card to avoid any further attention, Kristen brought over a plate with two small squares of their creme brulee cheesecake for dessert.
Their bread was delicious, we should have asked for more to take home. Their deviled eggs with the candied bacon were so creamy and smooth, my friend raved about the eggrolls she ordered. The strawberry salad would feed someone twice over, as will the steaks we ordered.
If you're in a hurry, slow your roll and enjoy the ambiance. We ended up being there for about two hours. The food did not come out quickly -- not a complaint, just an observation, and a hint as to why you shouldn't be in a rush to leave.
Everything had excellent presentation, items were hot, fresh, and seasoned well. It was a pricey evening, but it was well worth it -- and living in Laveen, we would not think twice about making the drive again.

Read moreThis was my 3rd time there to eat in 5.5 years (I'm disabled and can't afford to go out often). My eldest daughter called and said her daughter (obviously my grand daughter) said she wanted to visit Gramps on veterans day, so they took me out for lunch(12:00 p.m.) at Firebirds. My lunch was free with the purchase of another meal. Thank you, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, for honoring our United States military veterans with a delicious meal (all day long) off your regular menu. I haven't eaten a free meal on Veterans Day ever, that I can recall. Being disabled (but not a disabled vet) and living on a small fixed income, I decided that I'd partake this year. The food was delicious (as it has been every time I have eaten there). Staff was professional, friendly, and checked in often at our table. My daughter and I both had a half rack of BBQ ribs that were tender and delicious, I had french fries and a fruit cup with my lunch, they also served a small round loaf of fresh made still hot bread 🍞, with a light coating of butter on The bread it reminded me of my grandmother's homemade bread. My granddaughter had their homemade fresh fried in their own light crispy batter, with french fries. My granddaughter & I each had a lemonade 😋 that was the best I've had in any commercial business. My daughter drank a glass of water. Also, honestly, I can't remember what side she had with her BBQ ribs & fruit cup. The items I chose to like here were those that we have eaten in the 3 or 4 times we had eaten there. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. However, they were surprisingly busy for lunch. It was also the first time I ate on their covered patio, all windows open. It was a beautiful day. I keep forgetting photos, but I'll catch on and remember one of these times. I'd like to say a special thanks to the staff at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill to the chefs and kitchen staff. Our food was delicious, and your attention to detail is astounding. To the matradee who was cheerful with a big friendly smile, thank You for the wealth of information you gave me as a reply to my questions, you know your job well and it shows. To the wait staff and servers, thank you for keeping up at our table even though you were very busy. All in all, our Veterans Day 2023 lunch was a wonderful family experience. Wrapping up, again, thank Firebirds Wood Fired Grill staff for a great meal and a great experience all...
Read moreNever mind the fact that several years ago I was a server at the Chandler Firebirds, I still am very partial to the restaurant! I love the different, more contemporary atmosphere at the Gilbert location. In particular, my husband and I like the bar area. Last night we sat right next to the fireplace. Great ambience. The happy hour at Firebirds is unbeatable. Fabulous pricing and delicious food. The Double Black Diamond Martini is their specialty and it’s only $7. Well drinks are $5. Yesterday was our anniversary so we did it up right! We took our time and our server, Gabriella, was very accommodating to our wishes. My husband and I each had a couple of the DBD martinis and we shared the Fired Up Shrimp and Crispy Cauliflower Shared Plates. Delicious! The shrimp had a light breading and was tossed in a creamy, siracha sauce, served on a bed of lettuce. The cauliflower had the perfect crunch and was tossed in a sweet, and slightly spicy, sauce. Both appetizers were wonderful. My husband had joined Firebirds Inner Circle (he receives emails of specials and a birthday offer, yearly) and so for dinner he ordered the NY Strip special he had been emailed. This offer was only valid for 3 days, and our timing was perfect for this. The steak was 10 oz (the regular NY Strip is 14 oz) and came topped with herb butter and a loaded baked potato. The regular price of this meal would have been $35. He had this special $20! He was plenty full so felt the 10 oz steak was a good size (after those appetizers!). In addition to the meal, we split a full size BLT salad because it was less expensive than each of us ordering a BLT side salad with our steaks. This salad has been a favorite of ours for years. Firebirds has some of the best ranch dressing and the salad is served cold and everything tastes so fresh. I enjoyed the 7 oz. filet mignon (there is also a 9 oz. available) with the Southwest Au Gratin Potatoes. My dinner was delicious but I have to fully disclose, how was better than mine! Next time I know what to order differently! The bread is baked in house and they serve it with their meals. It’s always warm and fresh and it’s a favorite of ours. We wanted dessert but had no room left in our bellies. Maybe next time we’ll ‘just’ do the appetizers and then...
