We had the worst birthday party experience by far yesterday at Kids Empire. We called multiple times throughout the week to update the amount of guest and even yesterday to make sure everything was good to go. We spoke with Lawrence the supervisor during each call and also during the party. When we got there they had nothing in the system updated and it took them over an hour to have the party set up. We were told we would be compensated for the inconvenience but never were. We also didn't have or even see the mascot dragon walking around or even get the tokens for the motor circuit. We also only received half the pizza and drinks needed for the guest and we had to run out and get more pizzas because they never updated the system... To top it off when we asked Lawrence to get the bill figured out he ended up leaving for the day and the supervisor who was working had no info on the situation. I would not recommend the place for a birthday party at all. Honestly save yourself the money and time. They are way understaffed to even be hosting parties. If you are going to have a party there I would set it up all in person so there is no confusion and also MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT MORE THAN 10 TOTAL GUEST or you risk the situation we ran into.
As far as the playground goes it seems very well built and definitely kid and parent friendly.
Also make sure you sign the waiver before showing up or getting in will be a nightmare. Just a heads up everyone needs to wear socks while in the building so make sure to bring your own and for you parents they do not have socks for you to buy, they will send you to go get some before coming in.
And if you plan on going during busy hours just know the lobby is extremely small compared to the size of the whole building.
I will definitely be contacting corporate to hopefully make our whole situation right... I am in no means a KAREN but with what should have been a good day just turned into the most stressful and unorganized situation by far. I also just want to make sure nobody else has a situation like we had or at least they are aware of the...
Read moreI will start by say this is a great place to take the kids to play and have a fun time. Lots of fun obstacles and slides for kids of all ages. The reason for a single star is the recent experience for our daughters 3rd birthday. The package are expensive as is but we went ahead went for it because it was a fun place for all the kids. We were the first birthday party at 10:30 (a half hour after they opened) the check in was chaos because they were not ready for the birthday party. There were no balloons (we brought some ourselves as well thankfully), no table coverings, no drinks or snack as advertised. They finally let everyone in at about 11am but all the had was the table coverings, plates and cups out. There was no exclusive party organizer. We had to head up and ask for the snacks which they could no find for 30 min as well as ask for the sodas and ballons that were also missing. We had no idea when the pizza was coming and when we went up to ask they had to order it right there. Once the pizza came it was just dropped down on a bunch of the kids plates and left for me to dish out. They also had zero napkins available. When we asked about the cake it was a deer in the head lights. There was no cake and there was no mascot parade. This was such a disorganized mess and a disaster. It gets better asked about getting a refund on half the package because it was pretty much non existant and the manager said there is nothing they can do and I can file a complaint with there support line. So I did just that. I received a response within 3 days stating this claim is being reviewed. I waited a week and followed up with bo answer so every few days I kept on asking for an updat or follow up nothing here I am almost 2 months post party and nothing from Kids Empire. Save your money and don't waste your time with this company for a...
Read moreFirst and foremost, our kid really enjoys his time at Kid’s Empire. We have been going fairly regularly over the past 2-3 months. Lot of activities indoors, which is awesome. Kids will definitely enjoy themselves. A minor nuisance is that all the foam protecting the structure is attached using cable ties and they naturally fail. Sadly the place does not do a good job maintaining those cable ties and replacing them. They can be hazardous at times causing cuts on the little one’s skin. My by far biggest issue though, and hence me giving only 2 stars, is the fact that one of the popular attractions, the bumper cars, is inoperable for over a month now: First they claim they ran out of coins, then the cars were not charged when we arrived on a Sunday morning, and then they replaced the physical token based system with a play card, which, again, rendered them unusable for extended time. Last week we were told they worked, but due to the fact that their payment system was down we could not purchase any play card. This week for some reason they could not charge the play cards (claimed app issues) and once again, no bumper cars. This place has WAY too many small and avoidable issues. Management really needs to step up their game and fix the issues in a reliable way unless they are willing to have the reputation continue to drop. Many other parents we speak to while there complain about the same issues. Oh, and last but not least, the personell there ( at least on Sunday mornings) is mostly clueless and quite oblivious to these issues and offers no real help or compassion. Not that I would expect that or for that matter even care, but it just adds up to my overall negative impression of this place. Again, it started off great, but it is on a...
