DECADENT MACARON — Restaurant in Gilbert

The macarons are fresh and tasty, and they have a great variety of scrumptious flavors, but they are very small. I knocked off 3 stars because of how difficult it was to find the shop. I got an ad for them in my Facebook feed, so I clicked on it, then on the address that was shown, clicked "Open in maps" and got directions from there, which took me to Frye Rd. near Price behind Chandler Fashion Center. Drove around and around the area with no luck, so I called them and was informed they had moved from there a year ago and are now on Recker in Cooley Station, which is literally 5 minutes from my house. What really bothered me was they seemed completely unconcerned that their social media advertising took me 40 miles out of my way (when gas is nearly $5 a gallon, no less) and wasted a hour of my time. They just shrugged and said, "Well our owner just checked and our Facebook page has the new address." That may be, but I didn't just decide to drive all the way to Chandler for kicks -- something in their set up is still pointing to their old location and they acted like it was no big deal. If it were my shop I would have apologized profusely and thrown in a couple of freebies. So, 2 stars for fresh, tasty but tiny macarons, and docked 3 stars for poor...

I came here for the first time today with a friend, and we were so impressed with the service that we received. Autumn helped us as we checked out the display case and asked a million questions, haha! Granted, it was not busy at the time, there were no customers behind us, so that probably factored in, but it was amazing service, and it seemed effortless. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything we asked about, and we ended up each getting a box with one of each macaron flavor in the case! There was one flavor that was all out, which was disappointing because it was the flavor that my friend really wanted to try (pistachio). But oh well, we got drinks too and sat down and had a lovely time trying the flavors together. But wait - there's more! Towards the end of our visit, out comes Autumn with 2 complimentary freshly ready pistachio macarons! We just couldn't believe what an awesome gesture that was! Also another random thing I noticed that impressed me, was that in the bathroom they have a changing pad for those with babies, a drawer with feminine products, even some lint rollers lol! Girl Dinner! OMG this place is charm and treats!

The retail store is beautiful and has a cafe layout. Wall art and decor are great conversation pieces and of course the desserts were delicious!

We got to enjoy macarons, taste their cookies and red velvet cake top or something it was called - All gluten free. The cookie hit! 🍪 Most of the macaron flavors were inventive and well balanced, others just weren’t for me, but they were all made consistently it’s just a matter of taste. The macaron was on the smaller side from whey I’ve typically encountered, but if you bring your box from a previous visit they give you some sort of discount.

The best surprise was their honeycomb latte with oat milk. Oh my goodness this was a divine treat! I wasn’t expecting great coffee alongside a really tasty dessert offering, so this place was a big win.

Parking is in the back of the store. The front only has like 10 minute parking and seems to be full most of the time, but there is a big lot in the rear of the building that has a sidewalk you can take to the storefront. It’s in an outdoor mall strip mall setup and feels really new.
