The Brass Tap — Restaurant in Gilbert

I am very upset with this place. I had just finished my graduation ceremony, and I wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate with my family. This place was less than a mile away, so we decided to try it out! It’s September in Arizona, so the temp is still in the high 90s, and there’s barely any seating inside (the wait was over 45 minutes) so we decided to sit outside instead. The misters were on, so at first, our experience was fine. Not too hot, not soaking wet from the misters, all was well! And then the manager turned them off. And there aren’t any fans outside. I have POTS, so I’m very prone to fainting, especially when it’s too hot. Wearing a graduation gown for hours, and then sitting outside in Arizona heat with POTS was not a good combination. I asked our waitress if they could turn the misters back on, and she said she would ask her manager. Shortly after, some man with a mustache (you know who you are) comes outside to talk to us. All he said was “I’m not turning the misters back on. It’s humid and it ruins peoples experience” as if my experience doesn’t matter?? By this point I’m on the verge of fainting, and my vision is going dark. All he could offer me was a glass of water, and a table inside in 45 minutes. We would have already been done eating by then. I couldn’t eat my food, because I was too busy putting cold paper towels on my arms to stop myself from fainting. I find it incredibly disgusting that even though one of their patrons were in the middle of a medical episode, they chose to ignore it. All because it’s “a little humid with the misters...

The only reason I used come to this bar is because the customers that come here are great I used to hold out on a good review but this happened: The staff is mediocre and I’ve had to wait 30 minutes or more for a drink a few times and the food is also mediocre. Not only that but whatever manager was there kicked me out for scratching my lip and told he me I was vaping, he also he said that I was talking to another another person about not vaping in the place who WAS VAPING. I don’t vape. I didn’t even talk to her about the vaping I just made a comment about him confronting her about it, it was a completely different topic. Even if I did vape which I don’t. Dude should realize how many people I’ve seen at this place vaping at the bar among other bars I’ve been to. This dude told this lady that I was a chair over from, that he would lose his license over vaping which isn’t true. BTW if brass tap sees this I just wanna say that; you’re more likely to lose your license for serving a minor and/or serving food that a customer is allergic to. The dude who did this was a European older dude with white hair and British accent. So future/ regular customers; if you do vape watch out for him he WILL WATCH YOU and doesn’t care into to sacrifice taking tip money from the employees for the tab or bass taps money (he covered my tab for this). I don’t ever leave reviews or complain when I get bad service but this was absolutely over the top. We showed up and it was busy which we were fine with and I was a waitress so it doesn’t bother me if the waitress is a little slow because it was busy BUT this was not the case. She didn’t have any other tables in the restaurant, she would just disappear for a long time. She took 20 minutes to even take our drink order and an additional 15 to take a beer order. Then an other 20 minutes to take our food order. When the food finally came out it came out one at a time 10 minutes in between. She never checked on us. Our drinks were empty. The food has no flavor. We had like 20 teenagers behind us screaming so loud and one of them right behind my chair stretching his leg straight up in the air screaming it hurts. I was so shocked by the whole experience and then she comes out after 40 minutes acting like nothing is going wrong and says hey how was everything here’s a couple of beers on us and those beers ended up on the bill. I’m warning you to avoid this place. There are way better places out there that taste better and you won’t be treated like crap and charged for it. This is coming from a former cocktail waitress. I have lots of grace for that line of work but...
