Just got back from Axe and Ale Tap House, and I have to say, it was an awesome time! The place has a cool vibe with a mix of rustic and modern decor. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Throwing axes was a total blast. The lanes were well set up, and the staff gave us a quick lesson to get us started. It was a unique and fun activity that really made the night special. The tap selection was impressive, with a wide variety of craft beers. We tried a few different ones, and they were all delicious. The food was also great, with tasty options that went perfectly with the drinks. Overall, Axe and Ale Tap House is a fantastic spot for a fun night out. Whether you’re into axe throwing or just want to enjoy good food and drinks, this place has it all. Definitely check it out!

Came across this place while looking for somewhere to eat before a movie. Upon entering, it looks like your typical rustic tap house. It wasn't too busy at the time, so the service was excellent. Although the food not so much. The food came out quickly, and it tasted nice. Though, the portions were WAY too small for the price we paid. I paid 18 dollars for a spicy chicken sandwich, and it was way too small. Along with that, another person in my party paid extra ($7, I believe) for 4 pieces of shrimp in the salad. I know this place is relatively new, but lowering the price of food or increasing portion size would be a plus. Apart from that, good experience.

Great little spot! The food was amazing, drinks were good, the service was good, however the atmosphere was low energy. Couple suggested areas of improvements, there was no music playing and the TV’s were playing the news station. Maybe have some music playing to bring up the energy and something other than news on. Need more signs to draw in interest. Wouldn’t have known it was there unless specifically looking for address. Giving over all 5 stars however because the food is just so heavenly and the service was good. Would love to host a chamber event or a networking event here.

Amazing food and staff with a few hiccups!

First, over server was very nice and fantastic at her job. The female manager (I think) was very nice when we asked to close the garage door and requests. No complaints at all!

The atmosphere we loved. Industrial/barn style set up and open concept. Loved it!

-We wanted to book a lane and dining room with Resy. The app only allows you to book the "dining room" even when you click on the "book a lane" link through the site. So we made dinner reservations and were left without throwing axes because the set times did not fall within our meal times. Very disappointing that we can not books that way, but we enjoyed the diner.

The food was awesome with lots to chose from and good portions in our opinion. We ordered: deviled eggs, fried pickles, corn dip, pretzels and cheese, burgers, lamb shepherds pie, and taco trio. The only item we all were disappointed in was the taco trio app. It was absolutely tasteless, the slaw cabbage had zero tastes at all. The fish on the fish taco was spot on, but the rest was terrible.

-Drinks we are perfect...

The food was great, but the whole time the kitchen was blasting music with deep base the whole time. We had to ask 2 times during dinner to please turn it down and we can still hear it from the axe room. I was told sorry, but still had to pay our whole check. We shouldn't of had to, we go out to dinner to enjoy the experience, which we did not. They failed completely.

Update We have tried to go and take up the offer we were given by the owner. I have sent multiple emails to try and be considerate and set up a time. I never recieved a response. When I called the restaurant he told me he would talk to the manager and he would call back within an hour and a half. He did not, so I called back and was sent to voicemail. My call was never returned. It was really disappointing. I sent another email saying we were disappointed and felt we were being dodged intentionally and we'd just show up at another unspecified time at some point in the future. Hopefully his offer...

Food was ok. A lot of gluten free options but it seems as though the staff isn’t clearly aware about cross contamination etc. the pizza wasn’t worth the price. (Gf crust) highly suggest reaching out to alton village to see where they get their crust. The one at A&A seemed like the cheap gf crusts you can get at a grocery store 2 for 7. The gf buns are delicious and the gf rolls. The burger was supposed to be well done but was more medium rare, rare. I suggest making smaller patties for a more even cook as that was the second time it was undercooked. The fries just seem like the typical fried frozen fries( didn’t eat but my partner did) the potato skins weren’t what we were expecting at all and the mashed potatoes seemed like instant potatoes. I’m not trying to bash the food the service was great and the place is gorgeous inside so I had higher expectations for the food & quality to make the place and the price. 2nd time trying. Maybe in a few months...
