Let me begin by saying that I was raised with values of respect and forgiveness. I am not the type of person who complains unnecessarily. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and a regular one with fries, but I mistakenly selected a "Rest In Peace" sandwich instead of the regular one. I accepted my mistake and did not make a fuss about it. However, when I got home, I realized that my order was incomplete as it did not include fries. I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake and they were very understanding. I went back to the restaurant as I had already planned to order a plain sandwich for my wife. The spicy sandwich that I had ordered was delicious. It had a good balance of meat and bread, and the spice level was perfect for me. It left a warm tingle and a slight runny nose, which is what I look for in a spicy sandwich. The "Rest In Peace" sandwich was also good but had a dry rub that could be inhaled if not careful. I prefer the spicy over "Rest In Peace", and if you cannot handle spicy food, then fast food chicken sandwiches might be a better option for...
Read moreThe spicy chicken sando wars are on!!! I’m a huge fan of Hot Ones on YouTube. Also a hug fan of chicken sandos. See the connection?!! I love finding new hot chicken sandwich places and don’t mind traveling to do so. Quite honestly, I’m usually disappointed about 70% of the time. Either the chicken is dry, the sandwich is undersized, or the spice is just hot with no flavor. Macacao’s defeats all of those criticisms! And while it isn’t the best chicken sandwich I have eaten - and out of respect i wont list what is - but it is in the top five. Considering I have eaten at probably fifty different hot chicken places, that is high praise. It’s not cheap, but what is these days?!! And compared to Burger King, Jack, or Chick-Fil-A, it’s a bargain. Great quality. Nice owners. Right next door to Pop’s so you can wash it down with...
Read moreBest spicy chicken I've ever had. (Classic style, spice level spicy). FYI if you are sensitive to spice I would choose a lower spice level.
I tried coming here before but didn't realize they are closed Mondays and I finally just tried it.
It does take a while to get your food, but it's one of those things where the wait is 100% worth it. You can tell they actually doing them made to order.
The sandwich is pretty darn big! You could probably split one if your not a big eater or not that hungry. I also got the fires Nashville spicy and they were also incredible!
100% hands down recommended this to anyone looking for a great fried...
