Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Girard Township

I have eaten here twice in 5 years and both times I ended up with food poisoning. Never again will I eat at this dairy queen which is a shame because who doesn't love dairy queen? Lobby is disgusting, filled with storage boxes which makes you wonder what is going on in the back that they can't keep their boxes back there. Burger tastes like some frozen burger from Walmart, fries weren't even dairy queen usual fries. Dirt everywhere, just look at the walls while waiting for your food and you see that you have made a mistake. Only dairy queen I've ever been served by a dude with neck tattoos. I mean this place is literally one visit from the health inspector away from being shut down. So disgusting to see the inside. Save yourself the agony here, find somewhere...

I called this morning to order a treatza pizza. The woman who answered honestly sounded like she hates her life. She said they can't write "happy birthday" on them because it's too difficult. I thanked her for telling me (even though this location has written plenty of happy birthdays on these before). I said I would be in later to pick one up, she said ok, we hung up. I just went there to pick one up and the same woman said that I had to order them one day in advance at this location. That would have been nice to know this morning. I would not recommend this location to anyone, as customer service is terrible and their blizzards are consistently 10% mixed blizzard at the top and 90% plain white ice cream...

My husband and I really never eat fast food, but we both had a very long and tiring day. Since our choices in our price range are limited, we decided on Dairy Queen in Girard. Even though they were very busy, we took our food home and I have to say the food was hot, and very good. My cheeseburger surprised me, the fries were great, the chicken strips were good, and we were quite pleased. My husband went inside to order, came out relatively fast despite how busy they were. I give credit to who ever worked yesterday evening, because you did a good job making the food. It can't be an easy job, so I think it is a nice idea to give them the kudos they need and deserve...
