SOME OF THEIR MENU ITEMS ARE MADE FROM SCRATCH!! 🤠🥋 BULLY'S IS CLOSED ON MONDAY & TUESDAY. My family & I have eaten at Bully's for more than 40 years. They are a LOCALLY OWNED business; which is a fact I LOVE. 💕 They are known far & wide for their famous catfish. This fish is breaded, deep fried, served up hot & tasty. 😋 This fish is well worth the money for a delectable meal. I've eaten their fish for many decades now & will continue to do so for more to come; it's something that you always look forward to & NEVER get tired of or burned out on. Their macaroni & cheese is made from scratch too. Man that stuff is so super cheesy & is a mouthwatering treat for sure. How about that coleslaw? Well it's made from scratch as well. It really goes well with their hush puppies & catfish, they are, simply put, just made for one another. They offer a variety of home style items from their menu which includes but is not limited to: Baked beans, pinto beans, green beans, turnip greens, salads, baked potatoes & more. They have some really good tater tots as well. They have a really good double deluxe cheeseburger that goes well with their French fries too. They also have children's plates on their menu. In all the decades we've been eating there & not once have they ever screwed our orders up...NOT ONE TIME!! The service is always good, the building & parking lot are clean & well maintained plus the food is a good value for the money.💰 That's a combination that...
Read moreBully's is the type of restaurant I refer to affectionately as a "joint" - not big on decor or "atmosphere," but all about the food. The restaurant is a bit small, but clean and well lit. My friend and I got the adult size catfish dinner, and the catfish came with the usual cornmeal coating. It was piping hot, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and not greasy. One of my "test" foods is French fries, and Bully's crinkle fries didn't disappoint. So many restaurants serve fries either lukewarm and limp, or overdone, but Bully's fries were fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was pretty standard, but the cabbage and carrots were fresh, and the slaw dressing had a nice balance between vinegar and mayonnaise. My only very small criticism was about the hush puppies - they were nicely cooked, but seemed rather dense and doughy on the inside. Adult dinners, including the catfish, are reasonably priced at $8.95, and the menu also includes salads, sandwiches and a good variety of sides. Our server was friendly and efficient, and checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. I recommend Bully's if you want classic diner fare, especially...
Read moreWhile staying in Cave City visiting Mammoth Caves, we made the drive to Glasgow for the sole purpose of trying Bully's. The other Bully's location that Google shows in its results is no longer open which we found out the hard way.
We are no strangers to fried catfish and this place REALLY hit the spot. The portions are on the bigger side which is much appreciated and every piece of fish we had was cooked very well. I don't know anyone who is a fan of fried food once it gets cold, but I had no problem eating the five pieces we had leftover about four hours later- it was still delicious. Cole slaw was pretty standard, but done well. Crinkle fries were also standard, but were received nice and hot. Service was kind and attentive.
Our only complaint was the macaroni- it had a mushy texture and was not very appetizing. It was reminiscent of public school cafeteria mac and cheese.
We would gladly visit again. Stick to their specialty catfish dinner and I'm sure you won't be...
