My husband and I had dinner here in this family-friendly restaurant tonight, with our 7 month old in tow. Our server, Theresa, we are convinced was an angel in disguise. While we were eating our delicious food (ribeye sandwich, country fried steak, cowboy beans, and fried okra—all of which we recommend), our baby got restless in her seat and we started to rush through our meal. Theresa came over and began to casually and graciously entertain our baby to buy us a few minutes to finish eating. When we ordered the pecan pie cobbler to-go, she encouraged us to enjoy our dessert there, with a gentle reminder that our baby was calm now and we could enjoy our dessert warm and with ice cream. Of course we took her advice and we were glad we did - the pecan pie cobbler is clearly best enjoyed warm and with ice cream! As we finished up dessert, Theresa brought us a couple of to-go drinks and bid us a good night. Let the record state, Theresa is the backbone of this place, deserves employee of the month, and all the recognition for her outstanding customer service. The food is...

We usually have a wonderful experience here, but tonight, we were let down. My husband ordered a filet mignon medium that came out well done and very dry. Our server, Cody, agreed it was very overcooked. In fact, I've never known my husband to send any food back our entire marriage. No big deal, he took it back to get it fixed. The big downside was it took 20-25 mins to get his meal, and I was already finished with mine (which was excellent, btw). Unfortunately, things didn't really get better from there...another waitress refilled our drinks once, but my glass sat dry while waiting for my husband to eat. Later, when we decided to get dessert, we had to stop the cashier because Cody was sitting in the back booth eating his dinner. I never got a visit from a manager, any type of discount, or even a free dessert. All in all, for a $75 dinner for two, this experience should have been a much higher quality.

Edited to add: When we got home, the ice cream we got with our cobbler was a half filled condiment cup 😂 As for the atmosphere rating, it was so cold we both ate in...

Great place that has plenty of parking around it and across the street. It's a wait to be seated kind of place with table service, and you pay at the counter upon leaving. We got here early, so we were seated right away, and our drink order was promptly taken. The sweet tea here is fairly sweet, so half and half makes it great if you don't like super sweet tea. I ordered the country fried steak, which is huge with fries and a side of gravy to cover the fries in. The other side was the cowboy beans. These beans are awesome, little bit of onion in there with a hint of spice, they're great. The country fried steak had a good flavor with the spices in it and is good and moist. The better half got the ribeye steak sandwich. The food here never disappoints, and the service is fantastic. If your ever in the area, stop in for a "Little Taste of Texas"...
