AJ’s Place Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Glasgow

Went for the first time Friday night and was impressed with the small hole in the wall beer joint. They had a live band and they were good and took requests too. I like old school rock and roll from the 70’s and 80’s and the band played that mostly until requests came. Dance floor is small but plenty of room to dance because hardly anyone was. Never knew the name of the band even though lead singer said it once or twice just not plain enough to understand what he called them. I’d put up a banner with bands name on it if I were in it. Good time was had by all , no drama erupted no drunks stumbling around good crowd. We will be back. Oh no cover...

We love AJs, the people and place are down home country with a twist of rock and roll. They have great dance floor and DJ booth, but when they bring in bands, there is something to need to be done about the sound quality. We were on the first level, and you couldn't understand what the singer was singing, and going to the second level, the sound wasn't bouncing off the walls right or something. I'm not a sound pro. that's just how all 5 of us gals heard it. Did we have fun? Absolutely, we just had to step out on the porch here and there. Scotty Austin's Band was playing live and I had to go see them!! I absolutely lo-ve that band, and have drove to other states to see them, in the past! The venue was small, but very intimate. It let's you really enjoy the connection with the bands!!! There were 3 bands total playing and I discovered, some really awesome music.
