Glasgow City Creamery — Restaurant in Glasgow

Located on the square in Glasgow, KY…this shop is a regular stop for cold sweet treats. We have ordered smoothies, milkshakes, hand dipped ice cream and now…AÇAÍ bowls. I got the açaí bowl twice now and the fruit topping is fresh and delicious with several bowl options to choose from. Everything has been delicious and I’m glad we have a go-to for cold treats. The service is nice but at times a bit slow…but it’s not the type of place to grab-and-go. It is more of a grab something good and savor it a minute. The small atmosphere is good but not someplace to take a crowd due to the limited seating. However, you could get a treat and take it outside to walk the square or find a bench to view a beautiful small town square. Yummy with a capital Y!! Didn’t even have the ice cream, although the flavors looked fabulous and some flavors I have not seen anywhere else. I had an iced coffee (KY Sunrise) at 10 am and took family back at 6pm for another one and all 3 different iced coffees were fabulous!! We also order a Starburst Zinger drink and a Icee type frozen treat that was excellent!! I loved this place! Creative coffee choices and friendly staff willing to go the extra mile! Terribly disappointed. The Creamy has always had small cups of ice cream for young children or those that are lactose intolerant. This is the second time when after ordering and getting two half scoops for two of the kids, the other two got big cups full of ice cream and then was told the total. Which was much much higher than it was one week earlier. Then was told I was a liar because they have “never served half scoops”. (Was there last week) and was told that my kid did have a full cup she just ate it all in the ten seconds she had her cup. Poor way to talk...
