I've been eating here with my family for several years. I remember eating there as far back as 2009, when I was pregnant with my daughter. Lucky them, I craved their food. All these years, I've NEVER had an issue with food quality or quantity and neither has my family. The price varies depending upon the day with Sunday being the most expensive. The selection is thoughtful and includes pizza, nuggets, roast beef and other non-Asian food making them a great option for families and especially picky eaters. However, our last visit there were signs posted around the food informing guests to avoid wasting food or there would be an extra charge. While I can understand the added cost when food is wasted and more has to be made, my family and I all felt uncomfortable. It was as if we were being watched by overprotective parents the entire time. Many times, a server was watching and asking if we were going to finish our plates rather than just taking them away without a word as usual. We all ate far more than normal, resulting in overindulgence out of guilt and worry of being singled out and charged additionally despite the already expensive price. For what guests pay, such pressure is an injustice. Either risk raising already high prices to make up for the cost or do something nice for those who have finished their plates. Oh wait...that's for children.
Beyond food, the building could use upgrades, the bathroom stalls need less of a gap as more than once I've looked up to see a female server staring at me while waiting to go. It's a bit weird. However, I respect other cultures and just don't go to the bathroom except to wash my hands. The bathroom has extremely hot water, but always has soap. Their fortune cookies are the most interesting thing as I've actually had them come true as insane as that sounds. I would also rather some peaceful Asian instrumental music rather than big screen TV's showing political...
Read morethis is a unique one. how can i say this: when u go here its like the end of the world and its an out of the way place u feel like u would hide in. food is not good enough to go there honestly and it seems to always be 34 dollars without tip no matter what. they do not give u the fortune cookies. they have them at the register. the service is this EXACTLY: these are VERY friendly asian gurls. they are too friendly but i cant say that sooooooooo........theyre right on it with the drinks. the drinks are outstanding here. atmosphere well as i said its unique. its like an above ground bunker converted into mess hall not good enough tastewise chinese buffet instead. thats EXACTLY the correct description. glad i could help ya. an example? we were there and the friendly chinese waitress was handing out oreo thin cookies personally and the cookies were the best part of the meal. ok so bottom line: its overpriced at 34 for two peeps but thats buffet everything cept tip. food is not good enough to go. drinks are outstanding and waitresses are right on them and too friendly. atmosphere we go here rarely because its so bizarre and it attempts chinese food. the desserts are pretty good. plenty of parking. its a pretty big mess hall. i know it sounds rough but thats just the truth there. try it once maybe its there in glasgow. so that u can see its like im...
Read moreDISAPPOINTED. Took my mom here today (Christmas Day)...upon entering there was a line of people but no one was directing people where to go. No signs that were clear on what to do. Finally saw a sign up at the buffet that said "pay here first "...stood in line with 10 people, most with no mask and certainly not 6 ft apart. No mask enforcement what so ever. Finally paid and got my scoop of rice, scoop of noodles, egg roll and 3 pieces of general tso chicken and my drink. Ate that pretty fast. No idea where to go for another plate. No signs anywhere on what to do. By this time 15 plus people crammed in the line leading out the front door into the little lobby. Waited for someone else to go get a second plate, but everyone else was just as confused and we all said might at well just leave instead of waiting in the covid line for another plate. There needs to be separate lines for people who have already paid. Another thing, the buffet is split up so you have to walk through the line to get to the other side of the buffet...it was a disappointment because this was the first time since March we'd been to a chinease buffet. It has great potential...the food is good...just very...
