When my good friend landed a new exciting job, we just had to meet and catch up over coffee. Why not try the newest coffee shop to open in downtown Glassboro?
CREAM Cafe is located in Glassboro on High Street just around the corner from Rowan Boulevard. They opened in June and already have some regulars. Me, included.
Coffee is supplied by Lakes Coffee from Medford. It was very good. As usual, I drink my coffee black, so I can taste the full flavor of the beans.
We didn’t order food, but it was tempting. The baked goods in the display case looked AMAZING. On my way out, someone eating up front had a breakfast sandwich on their table. It caught my eye, and I obsessed on it the next few days. I returned the next week to try one and picked one up for my Broker as well. Was it good? Best breakfast sandwich I have had in a decade!
Let’s talk atmosphere. I love when cafes can be this spacious. Small and large tables are available. And an amenity that I loved is that there is a plug-in station at the larger tables for laptops and charging phones - a small, but effective touch as this area is predominately students and professionals. For our coffee meet, we sat in the cozy corner.
Staff? Extremely friendly and patient.
Note: The GPS sent me to the parking garage behind the cafe, so just be mindful that it’s on High Street. There is parking on High Street.
I absolutely suggest you check this cafe out when you are in or near a Glassboro. They even have ice...

I'm a remote worker and morning person that loves to start my day early, so the 7am opening is a big plus.
But when you walk it, the place is clean, spacious, and has STANDING TABLES that are perfect for stretching legs after long bouts of sitting. 😍 Peaceful and quiet too when I went.
I noticed there's also comfy chairs tucked away in a cozy corner around the aide...which look nice for a quick rest break or power nap (havent tried so idk if they'll ask you to not nap).
The reason I never came sooner is because I never know how parking works near Rowan but the cashier was helpful explaining that the opposite side of the street is safe to park :)
EDIT:
After coming back, a bit disappointed with the food. For the most part, it's basically just a sandwich with chips, reminding me of take out dining hall food. I also tried the soy milk, and it was extremely sour/rancid.
WiFi is also a bit deceptive because the speed it fast, but the ping (latency) is extremely bad. The internet is fine for web browsing, but your call will get disconnected many times if you try to have a video or Wifi call. Disappointing for a place whose site says "a place to socialize, study, work,...
Read moreI LOVE Cream. I go constantly and can’t get enough. Their bagels are better than anywhere else nearby, and their drinks and baked goods are absolute heaven. I am so glad that Cream opened up because it is my go-to. That said, my one hope for the (hopefully long and successful) future of Cream is that orders can start to be completed a bit quicker. Right now, it’s typically at least a six to eight minute wait for drinks, and I’ve waited up to twenty minutes for food and drinks in the past. I’m willing to wait because it is so good, but it does also feel like there must be a more efficient way to get orders out so people aren’t waiting quite so long! I’m very happy Cream is around and I hope it is...
