I hate having to leave this review but sometimes you have to speak up. I absolutely love Arby's it has been my favorite restaurant for over 20 years. I have worked in the restaurant industry 4 over 30 years. And my tenure as a restaurant worker I have encountered pretty much everything under the sun. Good customers and bad customers, wonderful experiences and and terrible experiences during my decades of serving the public. I know customer service. I teach it. I live it everyday in my job. So needless to say after today's experience at the Arby's on 83rd avenue and Camelback in Phoenix Arizona I had to say something. My wife and myself went through the drive thru about 6 pm, it was a beautiful 108 degrees in our desert paradise. After having to repeat our order to 2 separate employees before being quoted our total and asked to pull forward. I mentioned to my wife that more than likely be they were training a new employee on the drive thru (since our order consisted of just 2 sandwiches). After a longer than normal wait in the drive thru line and the desert heat we paid for our order and asked for a cup of ice water. After being handed what I would refer to as a thimble sized cup of water for both my wife and myself I asked if they could just put some ice water in the empty cup we had with us. The young lady stayed she did not know she would have to ask the manager. The manager happened to be right there and quickly and coldly said no ..........before I could even offer to pay for a cup of ice water the window was quickly slammed shut. I was simultaneously amazed and appalled. Poor customer service is one thing. Poor human kindness and decency is another. I will still eat at Arby's...... Just never again at that location. I just feel sorry for the poor young lady being trained. I hope she does not retain any of the poor customer service characteristics of her trainer/manager. Come see the Scarecrow at TXRH and I will show you true customer service and genuine human...
Read moreI had the worst experience ever here. I placed an online order, for the confirmation email, money taken out of the bank acct, headed over. When I got there the lady at the drive thru told me they didn't have my order and I was confused so I just tried to give her more info like the last name and then showed her the email confirmation with the address and stuff. She was so rude and short with me, didn't want to bother at all to help me figure it out and just shut the window. Shocked! I just pulled forward and another lady was outside bringing food out to the car ahead of me (also there was nobody behind me for her to be rushing me away like she had) and so I asked her and she was way more helpful, looked at the email and tried to talk to (rude) lady and she basically treated her the same as she treated me "there's no order". I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with that place so I just said "ok I'll figure it out, but I guess I'm going to place an order now" and she rolled her eyes at me and told me to go pull around to order at the speaker again. Ok. How did I place a brand new order and get cold food within 2 minutes...
Read moreI was in the drive thru waiting to place my order. I was told to wait we will be with you, 10 mins later I order, no one ahead of me, no one behind me. 1 double roast beef sandwich only the sandwich with horsey sauce and he said anything else while I was talking, I said I have a coupon for a Free slider, ordered a chicken slider. That will be 6 minutes to wait. I said No Thank you, I'll take a beef slider.... He said your price was 11. ??. Got up to the window and told him that price isn't right. He said Oh and changed it but took my card never gave me a price. He handed me my bag... I looked no Horsey, no Napkins. He already walked away, I called him but he kept walking. So I sat there until he turned around and I motioned to come here... He looked upset, I asked again for horsey and then napkins. The sandwichs were thrown together messy, and the wrappers were greasy. He never said Sorry, Thank you, Enjoy your food, nothing! I have tried this place a few times before, but this thing was the topper! I won't be back to this location again. Maybe doing a little customer service training sessions would help...
