First time trying this place and we got takeout. Note to owners doing take-out, please have a sign or a designated person to assist customers who come in to get it. We walked in and stood in the entryway for a couple minutes and servers were walking around. Assuming because of the "seat yourself" sign, they don't have a hostess. This is fine, however then have a sign or someone to say, "oh hey are you picking up, come over here and let us help you!" Don't make take-out customers feel like we don't count, because we spent the same dollars on food that everyone else did.
Now the good part, the food. I had a classic burger medium well and sweet potato fries. Burger was juicy and seasoned right, everything you want for a burger. Toppings were fresh and bread was soft. So no complaints at all. The sweet potato fries were cooked correctly, which you might be surprised to know that most places who serve them don't know how to cook them and serve them burnt which leaves a nasty bitter flavor. ANYWAY theirs were delicious and cooked correctly and I enjoyed them. My husband got a chili burger but said it really didn't have much flavor and was bland. I had him try my classic burger which he said was excellent. So I'm not sure whats going on with the chili burger, but it was a no thank you from my husband. He said his tater tots were awesome though. We also ordered a side of onion rings to try out and share. The onion rings! If you like onion rings, order them here. Do it RIGHT NOW. They were delicious! Just enough batter to be crispy but not so much that you don't taste any onion. Were fried at the right temperature and drained correctly as they were not super greasy like most other places.
So we will be back, probably for a dine-in to see how the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I had dinner here last night. I had been craving a hearty burger and she suggested Burgers & Brews based solely on the proximity to the house and the online reviews. We had one of the best servers we have had in a while. She was very attentive and polite. We ordered the bone-in wings with mango habanero sauce. While they were not as spicy as we had hoped, they were still pretty good. The taste is sweet at the beginning with a very slight hint of spicy at the end. My wife ordered the Western Cheeseburger with French fries on the side. She ordered it well done and got exactly that. She loved it, which is surprising because she is not a big fan of barbecue or onion rings. I ordered the Brunch Burger with tater tots on the side. I ordered mine medium and it was perfect. This is the first time I have had a burger with a fried egg on it. I knew it would be messy because of the runny yolk but I just had to try it and I am glad I did. The buns held up to the messy goodness of the egg yolk, the juicy burger, the crispy bacon, and the hash brown. I do not typically enjoy messy foods and don't think I'll order it again because of the same reason, but it was every bit delicious. The tater tots were a little too crunchy for me, hinging on burnt. However, my wife said she enjoyed them more than her fries. For me, it was the other way around so next time she can order tater tots and I the French fries. Overall, this was a great dinner and we can't wait to go back to try some of the other burgers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to stop in on a whim for a few drinks and maybe a small bite to eat since weād already eaten a little earlier somewhere else. When walking it youāre greeted by a sign to seat yourself. There were quite a few people eating and chatting in a few booths, but we saw no employees at first glance. The bartender soon came out from the back and offered us something to drink. The place isnāt huge, but decent amount of seating. There are of course TVs to watch as well. We opted to share a chili dog, side salad and southwest egg rolls. Everything was fairly quick to come out and the chili dog was one of the best Iād ever had. I loved they crisped the bun so it didnāt get instantly soggy. Also a good quality all beef hot dog. Side salad I wasnāt impressed with. It was very basic and bland. The egg rolls were good . Weāll definitely have to try their burgers next. I did go to their location in New River before it wax sold and enjoyed one there. I was told by the bartender the menu is the same here. Service was a bit slow, but it looked like they only had three employees counting who Iām guessing was the cook helping everyone. The bartender was kind and efficient. Decent selection of beers, but not as many as youād expect from a larger brewery. They even had a...
