EL GORDO MEXICAN GRILL #9 — Restaurant in Peoria

Nice restaurant inside a Shell gas station. A good, clean restaurant with inside seating. Service was very good. Large portions, reasonable prices, and the food tastes fantastic. Fresh ingredients. All meals include a Coke.

The 2 chicken enchiladas with red sauce, rice and beans. Very tasty. 5stars

I was very surprised about this location because we frequent another location that’s about and hour north of the valley at least twice a week for the quesa Birria tacos and when I found on down the street I was excited but I am extremely disappointed the Birria has no flavor the tacos were just flopped together in the to go box and the al pastor street taco was by far the worst I’ve ever had the lady at the counter was rude to me I asked if they were open in English as it was 10 pm and I was trying to be considerate and didn’t want to be that person that comes in last minute while closing down and just because I am white doesn’t mean I don’t speak or understand Spanish (mind you I understand and speak it pretty well) so they shouldn’t be rude period as a consumer so at this point the only thing good on my order was the consume for the tacos, wish they were consistent in...

I am writing to express my concern regarding an unfortunate experience at El Gordo Grill#9 drive-thru on 5/10/2025 at approximately 0845.

After waiting at the speaker for quite a while without any response, I proceeded to the window to see if the restaurant was open. Upon arriving, I was met by an employee who addressed me in an unprofessional and discourteous manner.

This experience was especially disappointing, as I have visited this location before and have never encountered such negative customer service.

My family and I were genuinely looking forward to enjoying your food, which we have appreciated in the past, making this interaction all the more disheartening.
