I know there was a transition period when Diane sold Daylight to new owners. You can’t replace the experience she brought to the business, it’s all she did. In saying that I guess I’m still expecting her quality! Ordered sausage rolls this morning and the breading didn’t seem to have that slight crunch and seemed a bit under cooked. Ordered donuts and donut holes for the kids and they didn’t even finish them, ages 9 and 11. Seemed slightly undercooked and cold. Read moreI started noticing in the last several months that the quality of the food I've been accustomed to out of this place for the last 30+ years was slipping. It appears it's been hard for the new owners to replace the experience that the previous staff had. At least it seems that way as the quality has suffered even in the donuts. I was already disappointed then I noticed that I was charged almost a dollar fee for paying with a card like every other person in America does. If youre like me and turn your nose at quiktrip donuts and Krispy Kreme, youre gonna love this place. Donuts arent to thick with dough, perfect amount of fluff and aeration. Proper glaze and chocolate amounts. Thr glaze blend isnt that thick paste you see at other shops. This is a clear thin layer that keeps into the outer 1/8 of the donuts crushing.
