1/2024 - The owner of the Glenpool Sonic has strived towards having a good establishment. Please take this constructively. I had left 4 stars 5 months ago, but I'm reducing it.
Over the past 3-4 months, service has degraded. A month ago one of your workers kept the change from my payment, telling me, "Well, I figured it was a tip." I was shocked to the point of being unable to answer.
This past week, not only was my order completely wrong, but I was disdained by the drive-thru operator for even bringing it up.
I admire young people who want to work, but the staff have developed an adversarial attitude. Perhaps it's because of SONIC adding the tip onto the online ordering, which is setting a standard the staff angrily reacts to if not to their liking. Perhaps it's one of the staff with a contagious embitterment. Regardless, it has rendered the Glenpool SONIC quite distasteful. I won't be your patron any longer for quite some time.
3/2024 - With the offer of sale prices, I tried Glenpool Sonic again. Are you closing or on your way out? I ordered via the SonicDrivein App, then checked in at one of the stalls. I waited there 15-20 minutes. Finally I heard the drive-thru operator tell another car 2-3 stalls down that they're only taking drive-thru. I waited a little while longer, and after pressing the call button twice, the only response was "we're only taking drive-thru".
It makes no sense to order ahead of time.
Once I got to the speaker box and explained I was a pre-order, I was told to drive on around. No one met me. I circled back to the speaker box, and was told to drive around IN LINE. Someone angrily brought out my order, didn't say a word and left.
The consistency with the low morale and how your staff now disdain people lends the question whether there are issues at top management or ownership. If you're trying to drive off people, you're succeeding. Sad, because we want to support...
Read moreWaited 35 minutes for 2 drinks and 2 pretzels with cheese. Order finally comes out and they didn't give us the cheese. Push the button and tell the lady they didn't give us the cheese with our order. She's extremely rude and hangs up on us. Push button again. Different lady responds and we tell her. Lady that originally brought the order out comes running out with the cheese apologizing. Wasn't her fault. That first woman that picked up and was rude almost ruined this location for me.
6/23/24 went back today, it was a little busy. 2 cars in line in drive thru in front of us. Sat there in the 105° sun for 10 minutes and car at the speaker just leaves. Next car pulls up. 5 mins and they leave. We pull up. Sit there 10 minutes and no one says anything. Not even a "sorry we're busy it'll be a few." literally nothing. BF is like HELLO, nothing. I say let's just go to dutch bros, only a 10 min drive to Jenks. I'm from NY and this is worse service than there, and that's saying something. Bf says YOU GOTTA TURN THE MIC ON. Girl finally responds to take order. We literally only wanted drinks. But they had a male employee standing out next to the drive thru speaker vaping for 10 minutes+. I vape too so like no hate, and i know you gotta take breaks, but literally we got ignored while she was in there trying to handle everything and he was too worried about vaping. This location is worse EVERYTIME we go. Stopped getting food here cuz it's always terrible. Once we placed order we waited 5 more minutes behind a car that was at the window for who knows how long. Car behind us still didn't have anyone take their order by the time we got our drinks and left. It's the complete disrespect for me. Sitting there wasting my time and gas and having to have us and my car sit there boiling in the sun with the window down so we can hear nothing. We have lived in Glenpool for 6 years and a couple years ago we decided to quit wasting our money at the local establishments in town due to poor service, stale food, among other things. Tonight we thought hmmm we'd really like to have a Good Ole fashion Sonic Ice Cream. I chose a Snickers Sonic Blast, my husband got a chocolate shake and we split a Large Cheese Tot. Seems simple enough. First of all, I have worked in the food industry all through high school and college and still from time to time during the holidays pick up miscellaneous restaurant gigs to make extra money during the holidays. We did get a large tot, half-cooked with a few covered in cheese, a chocolate shake that fortunately was simple enough for them to not screw up, and then there's the Snickers Sonic Blast which included a cup of vanilla ice cream with roughly 1 teaspoon of what I would consider at least, a year old crumbled up Snickers on top. With the way times are now, things such as a late night snack at our local Sonic are a luxury. I do not appreciate wasting our money and I refuse to return for a new one for them to spit in. I will never do business with this Sonic EVER. We will go back to driving to Jenks to do our business. Its a shame that I cannot even attempt to support our local businesses because they are ran poorly with no respect to the money that we pay for the food and service. I do recommend the Jenks Sonic or even the Sonic in front of the Wal-Mart off HWY 75. Trust me it's worth the extra mile drive. Don't waste your money at the one on 141st you will be sadly...
