This was our first time trying Holy City. We were so excited to try the wings and the Chiodi sauce we’ve heard so much about. The wings and sauce were AMAZING. Unfortunately everything else wasn’t. We arrived about 11:40, first customers in the place. We placed our order for wings and Irish nachos. We waited about 40 minutes before the Irish nachos came out mushy and cold. No crunch at all, just soggy chips soaked in grease. We’re assuming they just sat in the kitchen for a while. Our waitress wasn’t attentive at all. Especially considering at this point it was just us and one another table. She was more worried about her phone and her name being announced for something. Our wings came out about 10 minutes after our Irish nachos. A total wait time of 50 minutes for our wings. The table behind us that arrived about 25 minutes after us, also received their wings at that time. If it wasn’t for the Chiodi wings being so good, I would have rated this place 1 star. Very bad customer service and the St. Patrick’s Day decorations hanging from the ceiling should be cleaned or removed. It was kinda gross eating and staring at the dust and cobwebs...
Read moreHoly City Pub is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. The owners have clearly put their heart and soul into creating a space that radiates friendliness and comfort.
The food here is simply top notch. Every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. However, I must admit a minor disappointment when it came to the wings – they serve half wings instead of full wings. But let me tell you, the flavor more than makes up for it. I tried the maple barbecue sauce, and it was a delightful blend of sweet and tangy, truly tasty.
What really sets Holy City Pub apart is their ever-changing specials and the extensive selection of tap beers. There's always something new to try, and the variety ensures there's a perfect pairing for whatever you're eating. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a great meal.
I highly recommend Holy City Pub. Whether you're there for a casual dinner, a drink with friends, or just to soak in the ambiance, it's a place that delivers...
Read moreWe stopped in for a bite after a phillies game this past Sunday. I have to admit that i was quite disappointed. fFood was not on par with the reviews I've read, which made me sad since i brought a friend from out of town. Ordered a chicken sandwich, a burger, a cheesesteak and a hot dog. The chicken sandwich and hotdog came out 10 minutes before the burger and cheesesteak. The chicken sandwich was burned. Black, heavy burn and cold fries. The dog came out fine. After ten minutes the burger and cheessteak came out. The burger was both burned on the exterior and raw on the interior. the cheesesteak had no cheese on it. It was massively disappointing. The bartender was awesome and worked his tail off. The bar had a great look and felt like a fun place but i was disappointed and embarrassed about the food. There was no way that kitchen felt they were serving a quality meal. Maybe we caught them at a bad time. Maybe their kitchen isnt the attraction there. I dont know, it was my...
