Koala Bean Coffee — Restaurant in Gloucester Point

Wanted to try something that felt fresh. I was initially hesitant due to a lack of a website and I wasn't sure if the drinks were going to be too innovative.

I'm glad I went and my speculation couldn't have been more wrong. There will be a website, and the coffee can be as simple or as intricate as you'd like. Get just a straight cup of coffee or something more daring such as the drink I got, a Pistachio Dubai coffee.

The atmosphere is a break from the norm expected of a coffee shop and that's a good thing. It's fresh but also feels cozy. The ower was our barista and he was very welcoming and genuine about making good drinks and easy going conversation. He cares a lot for his coffee and it shows.

While the marketing for this coffee shop is quite immaculate, the product is disappointing. The service was great, with the gentleman being very personable. The food appeared to be pre-made/packaged and microwaved. The bagel appeared to be microwaved instead of toasted and was rather chewy. With regard to the iced coffee, inconsistencies were observed. While my finance’s coffee was tolerable (Nutella creme), the Biscoff creme, with almond milk, was not. I’m a pretty understanding person, but this did not mean my understanding standards. I loved everything about it! The staff is so incredible and friendly. Greeted me and my mother the second we walked in and answered any questions we had. The drinks were also so amazing! I tried the Nutella drink (pictured) it was the perfect combination of chocolately without being overly sweet. My mom got an espresso and had a choice of dark roast or another and was able to choose which milk. My favorite coffee spot now by far ❤️ The Asiago cheese bagel was soft and a great texture.
