If you are not patient, wait a few weeks before trying this place - they've just opened and the employees were running around like their pants were on fire to deal with a massive dinner rush early on a Thursday. This is not their fault - this is because for an Asian fusion restaurant in a strip mall, their food is shockingly good, and I don't think they really expected locals to notice that as quickly as they did. Typically restaurants around here don't have rushes like that at 5:45 on a Thursday - I'm a Doordasher, I would know.
That being said, since I ordered ahead I got my food fairly quickly despite all that.
High notes: Crab Rangoon sauce was the best I've ever tasted. They use actual pineapples somewhere in the recipe for it for sure, and the color is a very tame red - this is a good thing in this type of sauce as vibrant reds are usually the result of food coloring. General Tso's Shrimp was so crispy my husband couldn't tell if he was eating the tails or what. The sweet Thai chili sauce they send with the fried calamari is an inspired replacement for cocktail sauce. The chirashi platter had some of the finest presentation I've ever seen, including dine-in chirashi.
While I have not dined in yet, it looks like a pleasant enough place to do so. The people who were there seemed to be having a perfectly nice time.
PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE DRIVING HERE: due to location the parking lot is absolutely awful at times. It's right on top of a busy...
Read moreAMAZING!!!!! I usually only go to Philadelphia in China Town for good Asian cuisine. On a whim, my daughter and I decided to try this place. It had 4.7 stars, but I will still usually make my own decision on a place to see if it really is that good. Well, I give it 5 stars. The food was delicious. I got the General Tso Chicken. It was delicious. The chicken was tender and moist. The sauce was just right. The broccoli that is always a part of the dish was perfect, too! My daughter got a seafood dish, and that too was delicious. We also got pork fried dumplings, and they were perfect. I mean perfect! Their portion size was substantial. I can't wait to go back in to dine in this time. The place was very clean. The young man at the register greeted me right away. He was so helpful and friendly to everyone who came in. We ordered online, and it was super easy. We got a text communicating every step in the preparation and readiness of our order. They have a wonderful selection of sushi. I saw some guests enjoying that as well. The ambiance was soothing and relaxing. I just can't...
Read moreWell hello fantastic! I am a foodie. I have traveled all over for great food both in our country and abroad. This nice spot is amazing in every way. The feng shui is felt as you await the most incredible food. Filled with variety and flavors that are truly layered and wonderful. Many places serve sushi. Some approach the preparation as just making it while others create almost works of art. The sushi chefs at this establishment are highly creative and wonderfully taught. The detail and technique are quite special. The portions are perfectly filling. The service is accurate, precise, and prompt. If you love Japanese and Chinese foods you absolutely will not be disappointed. 5 Stars in every measure. Thank you to the team at Ozaki for getting it all so right! See you soon Sherri! PS The Ozaki Pizza is off the hook. So is the Happy Family and all the fried rice dishes. And do yourself a favor...don't forget the great...
