Steamer's Shrimp & Crab Market — Restaurant in Gluckstadt

My friend and I were told about this place and were specifically told to go on a Wednesday because they had a special that was too unbeatable. We walk in we were not greeted, got to the register and as I spoke to the young lady there I inquired about the special and before I could finish she just kept pointing to a paper on the counter. As I’m reading the paper I’m like ok so what about the special she still points at the paper I’m like ma’am this is not the special this is the regular price she points again still not saying anything I finally look up again at her and say can u please explain what you keep pointing at and verbalize instead of just pointing. Finally after fighting that battle she was like what u see is half off but mind you it’s not written on their so how would I have known that just by her pointing and I’m a new customer. We were also met with attitude from the cook when my friend asked for another batch of fries because a mountain of season salt was dumped on top of hers also the other lady I’m not sure of her position was giving grievance to all the others customers as well. I get it. That’s a busy place none stop on their feet all types of ppl but at the same time it’s the job you picked love. Hands down worst customer service. We left DFW at 7 this AM but due to a trailer losing its wheel we were delayed in Shreveport for 4 hours... After arriving here in Gluckstadt at 9 PM...the kiddos wanted crab. We always visit this place as we love their seafood. The gentleman that is usually here is always pleasant 😊. However, tonight, we encountered a different atmosphere with an older female. Was not pleasant upon our arrival and just seemed off-put by our order. I chose curbside for its convenience, but it's disheartening to see a tipping option for a service that didn't meet the mark.
