I have visited this coffee shop around 10 times, and they serve some of my favorite coffee in the area! Every time I go there, I am impressed all over again at the rich flavor of the drinks! Every cup I've had their is flavorful and strong and smooth. Most recently, I tried their sugar cookie latte, with coconut milk, and it was amazing! Overall, my impression is very positive! The drinks are consistently good, the atmosphere is unique and fun, the building is new and clean, and I really like that there is an outdoor seating option that is fenced in. Prices are high, but comparable to other coffee shops. The staff are competent! Sometimes the drive-thru is not a good option, as it can take a really long time for someone to get to the window to take your order. Stone Ground Coffee shares a building with Epic Donuts. I have not tried the donuts, but they look beautiful; it's important to note that there are gluten-free donut options, but they are kept in the same area as the glutened donuts. There is also a small event room within the building; one time when I was there during a child's birthday party, the event spilled out from the event room into the rest of the coffee shop, making it very loud. Otherwise, it's usually a quiet and peaceful environment. I would love to see this business add HEPA air purifiers to help decrease the spread of all the viruses that are going around AND to make their space more accessible for people who are medically vulnerable. In conclusion, this is one of my favorite coffee shops in the...
Read moreI really don’t like giving a less than 5 star review to a local establishment. Maybe I came on an off day!
Waited in the drive through for 20 min before I even ordered. The 2 cars behind me waiting ended up pulling out and leaving. It seemed that there was one employee inside who was serving both the counter and the drive through and everything in between. She was nice when she finally came to the window.
I ordered a latte, steel cut oats, a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and a cinnamon twist.
The latte was fine, a little on the weaker side. The sandwich definitely tasted like it came frozen. The steel cut oats were the most disappointing because on the menu they show a picture of real steel cut oats in a glass bowl surrounded by fresh fruit. If you order it, it comes in a prepackaged container, similar to what you can buy in a grocery store. I brought the cinnamon twist to someone, they said it was okay.
Overall, I can’t say I was very impressed. I won’t say I’ll never give them another chance but probably not in the...
Read moreTerribly overpriced and yet poor coffee, delicious doughnuts, trendy interiors.
When we dropped by in need of some late afternoon energy boost, it was fifteen minutes to closing time. They were understandably out of the regular drip coffee, so we ordered two 16oz Americanos. To begin with, $4.50 for a shot of espresso and water is already ridiculously overpriced, and then to make things worse, the Americano tasted horrible. We could barely take a couple of sips before discarding the rest despite our serious craving for coffee. While it's understandable that the staff may have been preparing to shut down for the day and that affected the quality of our drinks, we would have appreciated a polite refusal of service rather than being served unpalatable drinks at ridiculous prices.
In an earlier visit, their doughnuts and cinnamon twists were delicious and that compels me to leave an extra star, but the most recent visit left much to be...
