We went with my daughters softball team. My experience was horrible from the food to the service. I was approached by an aggressive, antagonistic, and unfriendly manager after I declined to he charged for a spoiled shrimp platter ordered by my daughter. My daughter asked me to taste it because it turned her stomach after eating just one. The shrimp was spoiled and disgusting. We sent it back immediately. The server brought wings to our table stating, "The kitchen made these by accident, you guys can have them". The table asked my daughter if she wanted them because no one at our table wanted them. This table had 6 adults(parents) including myself. She suggested I pay for the wings stating "That was a miscommunication, it wasn't given to the table". A "miscommunication" she was not present for. She then proceeded to tell me I was angry, which was 100% projection. A manager who doesn't understand how effective and assertive communication works. Management is not for her. She lacks basic hospitality. She attempted to pull the angry black girl attitude stereotype on me. At that point she almost ended up going viral. I guess this her stating I was angry, made her feel better about her unacceptable behavior. I was calm the entire interaction and never raised my voice. She lacks respect, leadership, professionalism, accountability, ability recognize how to resolve a matter in a restaurant, etc. Her delivery was very discourteous, condescending, combative, and hostile. We were all disgusted with her approach. They all stated, "You handle that a lot calmer and better than I would have." I definitely passed the test! The other from my party did interject during this distasteful interaction, which I'm sure would not have happened if I were wrong in this matter. She was definitely out of line. If I had the right complexion for protection, I would have met her with the same energy. We all know how that would have turned out! SN: The food was cold, chips stale, pretzels burnt, and no flavor present. On top of that I paid $20 bucks for a platter I didn't eat. Which I didn't debate. So she reluctantly removed the shrimp from my bill.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Go to an establishment who respects their guests and are accountable. This is what was left...
Read moreWe attended the egg hunt today and that was the best part. The egg hunt began at 11 and it only took about 15 minutes until we were done and inside waiting to be sat. Before we got sat, we were told that it would take about 30 minutes to get our food once ordered due to the large number of people there from the hunt which was understandable. We sat down and our drink order was taken quickly. This was our first time at the sandbox so when our server came to ask us if we were ready, I asked her what she would pick between the queso and pepper jack bites appetizers. She said definitely not the pepper jack bites unless you want to be on the toilet and have acid reflux from both ends 😅 I appreciate honesty with not recommending something but that was probably not the most professional thing to say lol. Once we chose the appetizer, we also placed our kids meal order. Our server came back after the kids meal and app arrived. We then ordered our meals , Philly cheesesteak and a breakfast scramble plate. This is where the problem started. We were expecting about a 30 minute wait on our food but about an hour later, it arrived. At this point our 2 year old was done eating and getting antsy and the food came out cold. The Philly was okay and the breakfast scramble was not good. We ordered it with no peppers and onions and no pico. It looked like it had been placed on there and then picked off because there were random bits and pieces throughout. It came with eggs, potatoes, pork verde, cheese, and tortillas. The eggs were rubbery , the pork was mostly fat and burnt and the dish was overall just watery and again very cold . The only thing I ate was the potatoes. I would’ve asked for something new but our server didn’t come back for 30 or 40 more minutes. At this point , we were fed up with the wait , poor service, and poor food quality that we just asked for to go drinks and a box for the Philly. We paid and left. Overall, I fell like this experience could’ve been much better if our server came by more than 4 times in the almost 2 hours spent there. We may try again when it isn’t as busy and hopefully the service and food is better. Our total after tip was $63 for an app, 2 adult meals...
Read moreFirst neutral here. Family of 4 and we all voted! They even let me try everything on the table haha... $105. Family ordered.... The basic cheeseburger and fries (honest 9/10 can't go wrong - fair price and so much meat on a perfect bun), Shrimp Alfredo (4/10 while not even alfredo picky at all lol its huge but wasn't fully cooked and minimal flavor to be honest choosing the Cajun option), Shrimp tacos (7/10 they are very tiny and seriously 1.5- 2 cut up shrimps of meat in each lol Look at my fat hands by the corn tacos 🤣 corn cup was... okay. Alot of lime and not creamy if that matters to you but that SALSA was ON POINT), 16o Prime rib meal (uneaven cook for sure unfortunately, yummy but after ordering medium rare we'd all say it was well done on the skirts and really rare in the center... but we are TX road house brats and never send food back so it is what it is lol - mac and potato sides are well worth a try though!), two pops, 2 waters, no booze or dessert. Service was fast. Place looks great. Staff was friendly. Restrooms clean. Oh and they've got that good good ranch lol I assume they'll work out the kinks overtime and will update if we return with different results. Thanks so much for...
