I used to love Domino's. At least once a week, I would order from my local store, not simply because I loved the pizza, by the staff was always friendly, timely, and professional.
And then I moved to Godfrey.
I can say, with a degree of certainty, that I never have experienced such consistently terrible service from a single location, not just from Domino's, but from any other establishment combined. The pizza is always late, the drivers do not understand what "contactless delivery" means, nor are they wearing masks (we are still going through the COVID-19 pandemic at the time of this writing), and on several instances the pizza is over 70% crust.
On the last time I placed an order from this store, an hour and a half went with still no pizza and no notification that it would be arriving anytime soon. I finally called the store and asked what was going on with my order. The worker told me (unsympathetically, I might add) that evidently my order went out to the wrong house. After expressing grief that literally nobody thought to give me an update, I asked how much longer it should be and she said another 20 minutes at most, but it came out closer to 30, making it a full two hour wait on my pizza.
I would have said goodbye to ordering from this location then and there, but shortly after' I received a voicemail from the store manager that she would give me a $20 credit, but I would have to actually call in store to use it. This didn't make a lot of sense to me, considering other Domino's locations in the past would just put the credit on my Domino's account to use online, but I said "might as well." Turns out, I would never get ahold of that store again. I attempted multiple times, including during early store hours on a weekday, mind you, but the phone would just keep ringing and ringing until I would get someone from Domino's call center, who can place orders but not apply to the credit. After I would explain the situation to them, they would attempt to call the store for me, which would again keep ringing and ringing until, eventually, the call would just drop, and nobody would attempt to call me back, even though I provided my number to the call center in case the call was dropped. I'm almost starting to suspect that the store may have blocked my number.
I know it's possible the store may be understaffed and these workers are probably not getting paid a whole lot, but this is still their job, which they are, quite frankly, doing far less than even someone making minimum wage should be doing. After the last hangup, I simply went to Papa John's website and ordered a pizza there, where it was delivered on time AND with the appearance that it was made by someone who actually takes pride in their work.
So long, Domino's. You just lost a...
Read moreI'll start by saying that Godfrey store was always great to me until Friday the 19th of January 2024. I'm a regular also I spend so much with the Godfrey store it's unreal. My rating use to be 5 but I have a sour taste in my mouth now. I ordered a couple days prior to the 19th as well and on that day they forgot some of my food so the driver came back and still got it wrong again like how TF do you forget something that you literally just forgot lol baffled me. I called and it was credited to my account. I called on the 19th to order again and use my credits and they only credited one item. So I asked them to look into why my credits didn't all get out on there and the ladies name started with a K I think it was Kelly or something like that that I talked to and she put me on hold for over 20 mins and even came back 10 mins and told me her manager said it'll be a second longer then another 10 mins go by and still on hold. I hung up and then the manager answered and said she didn't know nothing about the call so it left a rather sour taste in my mouth. Needless to say the Godfrey store needs a new owner and employees and new management. I work hard for my money so it felt like y'all was running my pockets....
Read moreTook my money and never got my pizza.... Ordered a pizza at 445 on Monday evening. I recieved a pizza in a timely manner. Opened the pizza and it was nothing I would ever put on a pizza. Called and the guy answered and sat thw phone on the counter, he left me there for 12 mins before I hung up and called back. A very personable guy answered and said he just walked in the door. Wrote down my pizza and phone number at 536. About 630 I called back and I was put on hold again. Another 15 mins laying on the counter hearing all transactions and personal conversations. According to their personal conversation the manager walked out mid-shift. After 10 mins I started recording lol. A guy picked up the phone and to his surprise I was still there. He told me he would have the manager call me and I asked "you mean the manager that walked out" and he laughed and said his GM was on the way in and would call me back, took my number again and ensured i would get a call that night. I didn't eat yesterday and they took my 30-something dollars and never even attempted to...
