Every time we dine here, we leave with extremely full bellies and happily satisfied hearts. My husband and I dine here at least 2 times a week and even more when we can get the kids and grandkids to join us. Everything on the menu is made fresh just for you. It is all delicious! If you want it and they have it, they'll make it. There is no possible way you can leave hungry or dissatisfied. If the food doesn't win you over 100%, the staff will be the cherry on the top for you. I have yet to have poor service. You feel like an extended member of the family as soon as you walk in the doors. The patriarch of the family oversees the kitchen but is often seen in the dining room visiting with guests. Then, you have "Mamma".... Such a well-loved and respected woman. She'll greet you with a smile and help you get settled and she's there when you leave, thanking you for visiting and reminding you to come back soon. There is such a large number of regular customers, that it's not unusual to hear chit chat between different tables and to hear the staff call customers by name often bringing them their usual drinks before they are even seated. This is a family owned restaurant serving all of your favorite comfort food with that from-our-heart-to- your-bellies deliciousness with a few surprises on the menu - I love the variety!! That's why you can eat there so often. There are so many choices and breakfast is always a choice - served 24 hours. They have daily breakfast/lunch/dinner specials....all deliciously prepared. They change their vegie and soup choices daily as well and I can personally attest that the soups are soooo wonderful!!! But let's cut to the chase...it's all about the P.I.E!!! & the C.H.E.E.S.E.C.A.K.E!!! So good, you just can't say no. We rarely leave without a dessert to-go. They even have sugar-free desserts to enjoy. The cheesecakes are made in-house —— so yummy! I hear "some" customers, not us, of course😉, try to persuade them to make blueberry cheesecakes more often - hahahaha! I strongly recommend you visit The Round Table for your next meal. -just don't forget to save...
Read moreSo I am lowering my review. The food is still really good, but the staff and atmosphere are not what they once were. I received a variety of five different drinks with lunch (i only ordered one), which shouldn't be an issue, right? Until they tried to charge me for them. Who orders five drinks? The point is the normal staff wasn't there and the staff we dealt with must be related to the owner. And wow. Were they at no-fault for anything and ever-so prickly at checkout. Prolly easier to say, "Oops, we screwed up." And the same staffer who was itching to make their point only came to table once... to bring the incorrect bill. I get it. It is a diner, not the Ritz Carlton. But come on... don't sit at an empty table in the dining room and avoid eye contact with your customers for their entire meal. On the flip side, one of the hard-working wait staff knew what was happening and jumped in to wait on us. And for bringing us the correct drink she earned a crisp 50% tip. So, if the staff ignores you, do what we did and find another person and reward them handsomely for bring kind and considerate. Hopefully, the message will get through. And if I am correct that the staff member in question is connected to the owner, well, I hope this review generates some discussion. And I will update the review next time we go there too!

My old review:
Go for the food. Enjoy the locals, especially the old timers telling stories and lies. The wait staff is incredible. Really a great little place that is everything you...
Read moreBad experience. Went with my daughter and we both liked the food. However, the air vent over our table leaked dirty water on my daughter's plate of food. When I told the waitress what happened and that I would like that plate of food replaced, she was not nice. She said "I can only do what I can do" and stalked off. What does that mean? We didn't know. Both our meals were on the ticket she gave us. I went to pay and she had a replacement to go box for my daughter's wet food, but was very unfriendly. I asked if my telling her about the a/c leakage on the food made her mad. She said it was THE WAY I told her that made her mad. (Since I wasn't yelling, cursing, or calling her any names I guess it just made her mad that I told her at all.) I probably should have called Public Health instead of troubling her with it. The men who were working acted fine but this waitress would do better behind the scenes. I would not want her to represent my business if I...
