Culver's: A Midwest Gem for Burgers and Unbeatable Custard Culver's has consistently been a go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying meal, and it's easy to see why. This Midwestern chain truly delivers on quality and flavor, making it a standout in the fast-casual landscape. Their burgers are consistently excellent. The "ButterBurger" is legendary for a reason. They use a special blend of fresh, never-frozen beef (sirloin, chuck, and plate cuts!) that's pressed and seared on the grill, creating those desirable crispy edges while keeping the patty juicy. The lightly buttered, toasted bun adds that extra touch of rich flavor that makes it uniquely Culver's. Whether you go for a classic ButterBurger Cheese or something more loaded like the Deluxe, you're in for a treat. But let's be honest, while the burgers are great, the true star of the show at Culver's is undoubtedly their Fresh Frozen Custard. This isn't just ice cream – it's a whole different level of creamy, rich indulgence. Made fresh in small batches throughout the day, the custard is supremely thick and smooth. The daily "Flavor of the Day" is always an exciting surprise, offering a huge variety of creative and classic combinations, from Turtle to Cookie Dough Craving and everything in between. Whether you get it in a cone, a sundae, or a "Concrete Mixer" with your favorite mix-ins, it's the perfect ending to any meal. Beyond the food, Culver's generally offers a clean, family-friendly environment and a commitment to friendly service. It's a place where you can count on a reliably good experience. If you're looking for a consistently delicious burger and crave some of the best frozen custard around, Culver's is an...
Read moreI just went to this Culver's and had the worst restaurant experience of my life. After being asked to pull forward and wait for my food in the drive through, the food never came. Several cars behind me - all that came - got their food and left, but I remained. I hadn't ordered anything special, just two chicken tender baskets. After 15 minutes or so of waiting here (after waiting to place my order and pay), I finally called the store. Someone came out to talk to me and I demanded a refund. I didn't want food, just my money back. The person took my card and came back with receipts showing the original charge and the refund, which was good, but he also brought the food we ordered.
Upon arriving at home, my wife and I discovered that the food we were given was THE ORIGINAL ORDER THEY HAD MISPLACED! The food had sat and gotten cold/stale for 20 minutes, then they still gave it to us! It was nasty - all of the fries had congealed into one big, soggy lump. We thought that was the worst of it, until I discovered that one of my tenders had clearly been partially eaten! Totally disgusting. I'm contacting Culver's corporate about this, and I have pictures of everything. Nasty, terrible experience. Ridiculously bad, maybe even dangerous...
Read moreDuring my latest visit to Culver’s in Golden Valley, I experienced the buzz of their dinner rush and the delight of their famous Concrete Mixer. Amidst the busy atmosphere, the commitment and courtesy of the staff were noteworthy.
The restaurant was in full swing with its evening crowd. There was an order mix-up with the group in front of me – a small error with their ice cream order, typical in such busy times. These moments, while understandable, do show opportunities for smoother service.
In the midst of this busy scene, one staff member particularly stood out while preparing my Concrete Mixer. Despite the demanding pace, she maintained a polite demeanor, diligently working to fulfill orders. Her uniform, splashed with custard and toppings, was a clear sign of the evening’s rush. This extended to my own order, as the Concrete Mixer came with a messy lid and cup, requiring a bit of cleaning up later in my car.
The Concrete Mixer itself? A culinary triumph, as always. Culver’s never fails to deliver on the promise of a heavenly frozen treat. But, the experience was a gentle reminder that even in the heat of service, maintaining cleanliness and presentation is key. It’s these small details that elevate a good service to...
