Do not bother trying this restaurant. I wished it was better. I was looking forward to trying a new restaurant and the menu looked delicious. But, like another review below, all four of us ordered the pastrami sandwich. The meat tasted nothing like pastrami. The meat was tough, grisly beef. We were told it was smoked pastrami. No smoke flavor, no pepper, no pastrami flavor. The sandwich had very little flavor and was not hot. My friends' reviews were the same. No one ate more than half of their sandwiches, and most of everyone's sandwiches were thrown in the garbage. I was unable to eat my sandwich and went to the counter and requested a different sandwich. After getting the third degree from the young woman at the counter, they gave me a tuna sandwich. Meh, it was just OK. Just like the "pastrami", the tuna did not taste like tuna. The service was very slow, and the counter girl seemingly did not care about her customers, just taking the orders. I asked for water and was pointed to an empty water dispenser. I let the woman know it was empty, and no one filled it until I had to ask again ten minutes later. We paid for potato chips, but had to ask for them when our order was finally ready. They claimed they called our name when our order was ready, but we never heard, and after waiting 20 minutes, we went to the counter and apparently our order had been ready. I generally do not write negative reviews; but our experience was...

TL;DR: outstanding ingredients, loved their turkey sandwich, delicious focaccia. Outdoor seating. ~$15-19 per sandwich. Does take a bit of time to be made, so order ahead!
Lucky Hen Larder has a variety of hot and cold sandwiches, generally served on their house focaccia or ciabatta breads. They also serve up ready-to-eat and pre-packaged Charcuterie foods, such as cured meats and cheeses.
All the sandwich options looked excellent, but I ended up going with their famous Turkey sandwich on focaccia, that featured thin turkey slices, crispy pancetta, rosemary aioli, cranberry-fig compote, triple cream brie, and arugula.
Already from the ingredient list you can tell it was going to be good, but this sandwich was truly excellent. All of the ingredients meshed perfectly, from the saltiness of the bread and turkey, to the creaminess of the Brie, to the sweetness of the cranberry-fig compote.
Would definitely come back again, but keep in mind it takes about 20-25 minutes to get your sandwich, so you may benefit from ordering ahead. Outdoor seating only. I paid ~$15 for my sandwich -...
Read moreWe're in the middle of wine country and I'm disappointed how little attention CHEESE gets (since I don't drink). What a great little cheese paradise. It's not easy to find I just happened to Google Map search cheese and here I find this. I bought one of their cheese sample boxes which comes with a selection of nuts, dried fruits, olives, sea salt crostini and housemade jam. While I enjoyed my selection of cheese (each box was different and mostly hard cheeses $15) the STAR was the jam (apple peach). Bought some of that. Lovely little Cheese...
