My first and last visit! I ordered the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp Entrée; under $20. Less than 45 seconds later, my number was called. I immediately knew the food was pre-cooked. It was awful. One taste of so-called Fried Rice and I wanted to take it up there and get my money back, but I had been on the go since 5:30 am, hadn't eaten all day and it was nearly 6:30 pm already. The steak was tough, overcooked and under-seasoned. The onions were raw. The shrimp and broccoli were actually undercooked. I ate like a starving person, furious with every bite. My food got cold in less than a minute. In the MIDDLE of the mound of what can only be called White Rice with soy sauce, was a long hair. It's either blonde or white. It's not mine. I was beyond disappointed. I will never go back there! Oh and no A/C inside. I don't know why. Either it's broken or management is too cheap to turn it on! My food was cooked awhile ago and that's beyond unacceptable; except for the rice and broccoli. I understand precooking those, but steak, shrimp, zucchini and onions should've been cooked to order. The service was fine. She took my order and handed it to me less than 45 seconds later...sigh. I was willing to wait for it to be freshly prepared. I was excited to try this place because it's only a few blocks from home. I won't be back. They should take the words; Tokyo and Hibachi out of their name. They don't deserve to call themselves that! Not really sure what's happened since the last time I was there. Stopped today after work (this is my 3rd time there) and ordered the exact same thing I ordered the first 2 times: large hibachi chicken bowl. The previous 2 times I've been there, the food was great. When I got my order today, it was a bowl of teriyaki chicken. The previous 2 times I've gotten it, it had the zucchini and onions in it. This time it didn't. Took it back to the counter and was told I have to order the entree to get the zucchini and onions. I told her (I think she's the owner) the last 2 times I've gotten the exact same thing, and it had the zucchini and onions in it. She basically dismissed me and said I have to order the entree to get that. I asked her when that changed. She said it's always been like that. First of all, don't look me in the eyes and flat out lie to me. I know exactly what I ordered previously and what was in it. So I bit the bullet and paid another $3 for the zucchini and onions to be added. I got home, and the first piece of chicken I bit into had a big blob of fat or skin on it. Found another piece like that later. The only saving grace was the white sauce made everything taste good. I'll give them another try at some point. First time coming here, the lady at the register was super nice and sweet. Talks a little quite but I also have bad hearing could just be me lol. I ordered the shrimp bowl (comes with rice, shrimp, and broccoli) was $12.55 and comes with a drink (drink for dine in only). Food came out super fast I was still grabbing my sauce and filling up my cup! Food was delicious, loved the broccoli (I’m not a huge broccoli fan either but it was just that good) would definitely recommend their white sauce as well! Overall super friendly, quick, and comfortable.
