Read moreFour guests for brunch after noon took over two hours. The server didn’t take our drink order until we were seated for about 30 mins. Luckily we ordered our food at the same time. Before this occurred, the hostess/bar tender came over to our smaller 8 top table and asked if we’d be willing to share with another party. We asked if we could at least separate our tables slightly so that we could move around as needed and that proved to be absolutely needed as we had to get our own waters from the bar because the server never brought them and we also had to go to the bar to ask for a missing drink order after about 50 mins of getting three of four drinks. The party that we shared our table with left before their order came because it took so long. The server never made eye contact when walking by our table. An “excuse me” was always needed to get anything for the table. A coffee drink was ordered towards the end of the service and the bartender came over to clarify the order, relayed that they were out of one of the ingredients, and offered an alternative only to never fulfill the order at all. The food is great but it doesn’t make up for the terrible service and cramped atmosphere. You can try to take out food and avoid a terrible dining experience but their phone is never answered and the voicemail advises to go to their website to order but the website doesn’t work. Owner seems like a great person but the staff needs some serious training for this place to...
Read moreWe were fortunate enough to be walking by Bear Tap House on the very evening of their first dinner service, and what a treat it was! The chef, Matt, hails from Philadelphia and put his own unique twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak. The dedication to quality here is undeniable — both in the top-notch ingredients and the beautiful presentation of each dish. One standout detail: the breads and hoagie rolls are all made in-house, fresh each day, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to an already fantastic meal.
The restaurant itself is cozy and eclectic, with a clear emphasis on delivering an exceptional dining experience. The service was equally impressive. We were greeted warmly and felt right at home the moment we walked in. Kelly, our host and server/co-owner, was a delight — friendly, attentive, and clearly dedicated to providing great service. We even had the pleasure of meeting Matt, the chef and owner, who checked in with us personally after dinner to ensure everything was perfect (spoiler: it was!). His talent and experience in the food scene are obvious in every bite.
The Philly cheesesteaks were a highlight — the meat was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Paired with a refreshing strawberry sangria and delicious local beer, it made for an unforgettable meal. Bear Tap House is truly a gem, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!
