BIGGBY COFFEE — Restaurant in Goshen

First off they have the smallest lowest sitting store sign on Elkhart Road so if it’s your first time going plan on driving past it and going back at least once. If you need to kill time go through the drive thru. I lost 20 minutes of my life waiting for two drinks and a sandwich. Despite yelling I had to give my order at the window and had to repeat it four times and was still asked multiple times about it. When I got to the window I waited five minutes to give my order figuring that the person in front of me was waiting for what they ordered. They weren’t. They were waiting for a straw. It took 10 more minutes to get my drinks while one person worked and others including the manager bumbled around looking clueless despite the drive thru now being completely full during lunch (noonish). I waited five minutes longer for my sandwich and I don’t blame the confused employee. Management clearly doesn’t train people and he kept having to ask questions about making the Cowboy Ciabatta which might as well have been vegan. They didn’t ask if I wanted a hot or iced coffee so I got to drink two hot drinks in summer heat but at that point I already lost hope and was just trying to be civil and be done because it’s not the employees’ fault that management doesn’t know how to train them. At one point when I was waiting along with full drive thru the window was completely abandoned for several minutes probably because the poor girl was worried about me getting upset. When I first started coming to this bigby about a year ago I was so impressed at the quality of the product and the performance of the service that I didn't mind paying extra for my coffee here.

HOWEVER

Now I get the worst service ever up to and including rudeness from the employees. I guarantee they're not giving me the extra shot the I order in my large hot mocha mocha when I order it, and when I order my turkey on havarti bagel with extra cream cheese not only am I not getting my extra cream cheese it's never hot anymore it's maybe room temperature at best.

I should have quit coming here when the rude little girl with the glasses wipe her nose and wiped her face then promptly handed me my coffee out the window and when I asked her if she was all right she says yeah it happens I have a toddler.... Yeah you should have washed your hands before you handed me my stuff too.

I may come back and try again one time however this time when I went in had time to even greet me when I came through the door and there are three people there one of which was on the phone with what appeared to be a personal call, one was making bagels understandable the other one was doing God knows what she's the same one that wiped her face and handed me my drink without washing her hands about a month ago...

Again I may come back but I highly doubt it, Duncan is crappy coffee and crappy prices but I would assume go there and pay for their crap and deal with this so...

So I came to this location less than 20 minutes before they were supposed to close, and I felt really bad about it because I try so hard not to be that kind of customer. I was already planning on leaving a hearty tip for my lateness, and to my surprise the lady on the drive thru intercom was sure nice and perky, and when I pulled around I asked about their color-changing tumblers. The lady in the drive thru was so nice and she gave me her opinion and made a little conversation about them, pointing out to me how they worked and the colors they had. I ended up buying one (pretty good price btw) and she even offered to put my drink into it so I got to see for myself. It was so sweet and the tumbler looks really cool. And to top it all off, I got the citrus mocktail which had real, whole strawberries in it instead of dehydrated slices like most places do. Just another detail that shows how this place has a higher drink quality than other chains. Loved the experience here, only think I will say that could be better is that the espresso always kinda tastes burnt, like it sits out for too long before they add it to the drink. So I just order one shot less than whatever the normal amount would be and it’s still pretty good. Overall totally recommend it here and shoutout to those ladies who served me tonight....
