Nancy's Main Street Diner — Restaurant in Grafton

I went in there on 7/24/24 and the service was terrible, then when my food came out it was covered in mustard. I then told the waitress I couldn’t eat that she said “ I don’t know what to tell you I guess you can try to wipe it off! So I tried since she didn’t act like she wanted to have it remade. Even then I couldn’t eat it there was just to much mustard so she came grabbed the plate like she was irritated took it to the back brought it back out with a new bun it still had to much mustard on the cheeseburger. So then I realized she was t going to have it remade I asked to speak to a manager or the owner. She avoided and avoided me left me sitting waiting for an answer then she came grabbed the untouched food and said I’ll bring you the bill. I said I’m not paying for someone else’s mistake I didn’t eat that food and you took it away so I’m not paying for it I’ll pay for my soda. She said well then I will be stuck paying for it I said I want to talk to the owner she refused to get her from the back. Another customer walked up and said I’ll pay for the meal I said miss you don’t have to do that I have money it’s just I couldn’t eat the food due to all the mustard. So I paid for my drink the other lady paid for the meal and I have to say it was the crappiest service I’ve ever gotten!!! So after thinking about it I called and asked to speak to the owner and the lady that served me had answered the phone and said the owner isn’t available I can take a message so I gave her my name and number and then I asked to whom am I speaking with? She said she wasn’t going to give me her name I explained I just want to know whom I left the message with and she agin refused to give me her name and then hung up on me!!! I’ll never ever go...

This was by far the worst dining experience ever. They were out of 2 items we ordered, so we went with another option. Server comes back 10 minutes later and said they were also out of that item..(which is why we went there in the first place) After ordering something they did have it took us 47 minutes to get our food. The salad and tuna melt we ordered with no tomato were smothered in tomato’s. I was polite in telling our server we ordered no tomato and she developed an attitude like it was my fault it was messed up. My sandwich comes back less than 5 minutes later with the tomato indent still in the cheese, and seeds, and the bread still soaked in tomato juice. AND A WHOLE SLICE OF TOMATO UNDER THE SANDWICH! I told her to just remove it from my bill, at that point I was done fighting for dinner. I could’ve removed the tomato myself you could’ve at least made an attempt to make it look like it was fixed. I’m dumbfounded at the server’s behavior. I have never in my life not left a tip until tonight. If I could’ve walked out with a clear conscience I would’ve not payed for anything! My kids barely touched their food we were so upset with the whole experience. I complained at the register and told her we didn’t eat and instead of offering to not charge me they offered a free dessert. I declined while stating I still needed to go somewhere to get dinner. I should have followed my daughter’s advice and walked out after not getting our drinks in the first 20 minutes. I will never go back here and I suggest anyone else to stay far away from the...

This was our first visit there. We were seated in a booth in the front but did not know there was additional seating in the rear (and were not given a choice). It took quite sometime for our order to be taken. I had asked to have an item withheld from my entree and did not want the vegetable that was offered. The item was put on my entree anyway, and the vegetable was brought to the table anyway. It would have been nice to have substitutions offered, as we have medical conditions that requires us to make healthier choices (that are low carb). It took a good amount of time for the food to be prepared; however, it was tasty, and portions were adequate. We had asked for separate checks, but our bill was combined. It was only when we were trying to figure out our part that the waitress offered to bring separate checks. It took a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time we arrived until the time we left to have our order taken and eat, which we felt was excessive, and made us late to our next destination, and not being able to arrive home before dark, which was the plan. We felt the waitresses were not listening to us and were preoccupied with waiting on "regular" customers, as a family of four came in later than us and were able to leave much earlier than us. We likely won't choose this restaurant when traveling through Grafton...
