My wife and I ate here today. It was my first time there, my wife told me she had been there before and it wasn't great but I had an urge for pasta.
Well I wish I had gone where I had planned on going. I went to this restaurant just because it was closer to home and the TRAFFIC in Granbury is getting to be too much!
Overview... the place is in a decent location, parking is horrible, I had to part a long way from the restaurant (why so many people?).
Restaurant is nothing to write home about, dim lighting which really annoys me, but it seemed clean, servers were polite enough, cloth napkins and nice silverware, also the rolls or bread sticks or whatever they wish to call them were pretty good (could use more butter and garlic, but ok).
So what was wrong? THE FOOD! I ordered Chicken Alfredo, the pasta was ok although maybe slightly undercooked, the sauce was not bad, but not "yummy" either, and the "grilled chicken" was horrible, it had a taste and texture like something you expect from a chicken broth or something, I pushed it off to the side and didn't eat any.
So will I return? I don't know, this first visit did not leave me thinking about going back... maybe some of their other dishes are better, but I seldom return to a place I was not satisfied the...
Read moreI ordered Lasagna the portion was small about a 4X4 inch square drown in sauce, cheese only on top and the dish was warm but not hot and the sauce tasted like something from a can, the fresh parm, well forget that they spoon some packaged parm from a bowl.
My wife had the Chicken parm, a pile of noodles, did not taste or appear to be fresh and the chicken also seemed to be processed and again warm but not hot.
My son had the Rivoli, again seemed to be processed not real Italian and warm but not hot.
If you're looking for fast food Italian, this is it. I wish I could give them 5 stars, and I am being very generous giving 3 stars. The server did not know the menu and gave was very inattentive. She asked if we needed to go boxes, and I stated No! about 15 minutes later she came back and asked if we needed to go boxes again, this time I told her no, but we would like the bill, she went and got our bill and tried to drop it and run, but I was ready with my card, so she actually had to turn around and come back to the table.
This restaurant is a little on the pricey side $$$$ and they are serving $ food. Looking at other reviews other people like their food and I wish them the best, but for my family and I we will not...
Read moreHad to go here based on reviews and who doesn't like good Italian food. The place is nicely done, we were greeted promptly, they sat us right away. Our server took a bit to come greet us, she was a doll although quick to let us know she was very busy... Took our order drink, we ordered the chicken nachos for appetizers. They were quite good. I ordered lobster ravioli and hubs had spicey chicken n shrimp. The rolls here are incredibly fresh n good. Piping hot. I had a salad which was fresh although I thought I ordered Ceasar salad instead got traditional salad with Ceasar dressing. Lol. I did not mention it to her and just kept it. The nachos are really a full meal. By the time I got my food I was so full on Nachos, salad and bread. I packed my ravioli to go. (my dinner) husband says the spicey chicken n shrimp was really goodn tasty too. Our refills on drinks were a bit slow. I got up and grabbed my own " to go" box for my ravioli. Overall she was good, really sweet but should've checked on us more . I can not deal with an empty drink while I'm eating. We will go back.. Good food...
