Cupcakes and Kisses Grand Blanc — Restaurant in Grand Blanc

First, let me start by saying is I called a few places cause I had a special order I needed a dairy free nut free cake. This place told me that they could do that so I went ahead and ordered with them for my daughter‘s first gender reveal party we ordered 30 cupcakes that had no allergy restrictions The cupcakes were supposed to be Hoho, strawberry shortcake, and vanilla. We had no Hoho cupcakes but like 3 had filling in them, The strawberry shortcake’s were all different. Some had chopped up, strawberry’s on top some had big sliced strawberries just laid on under the frosting .The cake needed to be dairy free and nut free and we wanted the ultrasound Picture put on the cake and we was told that they could do all that later that day I get a text from the decorator asking me how they were supposed to put the ultrasound picture on there. I told them I was not a decorator I wasn’t Sure of the exact way they do it. She asked me if I wanted them to go to Walmart and print a picture and stick it on there or if I wanted her to draw it on there. I was confused but understandable to the fact that maybe they don’t know how to do it . So I said if you don’t know how to do it then just make it pink and blue no big deal. The day of the pick up My husband picked up the cake and the cupcakes didn’t pay attention to what they look like got at home, opened it up and it was hideous. It looked like a giant black blob on a white cake. Not to mention the cake itself self was suppose to be vanilla and it was chocolate they don’t even eat chocolate cake, so it was wasted.The cupcakes as I Stated above they were not at all what we were expecting Unfortunately, just really not a good experience there and it...

I stopped in and asked about their cakes and went ahead and ordered a berry cake for my daughter‘s birthday. I set it up to pick up cake Saturday, May 4 at 1 PM and my daughter’s birthday party was the next day. I was out of town on May 4th, but I had my younger daughter go in to pick it up. When she arrived, they said they had no cake & that her mom already picked it up and was in with a little boy. I don’t have a little boy. My daughter left the store & someone was to call me . after an hour , I called back in and they said they mistakenly delivered it to another person and that they were going to retrieve that cake back and get it to me. I expressed my concern that once it left the store How do I know that it hadn’t been opened up or anything or even refrigerated as the cake needed. They said they did ask the person and they said they refrigerated it right away and didn’t open it. Cindy was helpful and did get the cake back and deliver it to my daughter. The next day we ate the cake and it was good. I was a little bit disappointed for the cost, The cake was a little bit dry. I have tried their cookies & they’re delicious. Just didn’t have a great experience with our first time...

I finally had a chance last Friday to check this bakery out when walking in with my boyfriend there was 1 other customer already checking out I made direct eye contact with the young girls behind the counter did not receive a "Hi welcome in" or any type of acknowledgement that I was even there, I thought okay maybe they will when they are finished with that other customer but nope never was spoken to, I start browsing the cupcakes and asked about prices etc was never asked if I needed any help nothing , then I noticed in the right cupcake shelf there was a fly buzzing around the sliding door had been left opened I immediately tell the workers they thanked us removed the fly then shut the door....I did purchase different cupcakes in a different area then while checking out the worker proceeds to say to the other worker while I was at the tipping part of my transaction "ugh our tips have been awful this week" like right after i confirmed a couple dollar tip....I will not be a returning customer but the cupcakes were...
