Ziggy's Ice Cream of Grand Blanc — Restaurant in Grand Blanc

Just went to Ziggy's for the first time about an hour ago now and I must say my experience was harrowing at the least. I ordered a banana split, a turtle sundae, and finally a pup cup for my beloved dog. All seemed well as I got my banana split and sundae quickly, even though the spilt was overfilled and melting quickly dropping ice cream liquid all over my dogs head. After my girlfriend and I received our ice cream we waited for about 6 minutes for our pup cup, which we paid for, until we decided to go on up to the counter to see what was wrong. We waited at the order up counter for upwards of another 10 minutes staring longingly at the many associates preparing orders for others as we wonder where our simple pup cup is. Finally after seemingly being ignored we called into the back to ask for the pup cup which we then received promptly and then only to see it was simple soft serve vanilla ice cream with two dog bones inside. That was fine but it left me wondering what took 15 minutes for this. As we sat down with our now melted ice creams my girlfriend proceeded to find a large hair in her's not belonging to either of us. Overall we threw away the ice cream and will not be coming back. If you want better customer service, better atmosphere, and most of all better ice cream i recommend Uncle Ray's in Fenton. Trust me it is...

I normally am a Ziggy’s lover and enjoy many things on the menu over the years. I have been going to Ziggy’s periodically throughout the summers, including Sunday nights. Tonight, I knew they closed at 9pm so I made sure to go before they closed. I arrived and was in line behind 1 person with OVER a half hour before closing time. I ordered a flurry, but to my surprise the girl behind the window blatantly stated they were no longer making flurries tonight. With more than 30 minutes before closing??Ridiculous! I just ended up ordering something I didn’t really want. While I was waiting, I noticed the staff was making a flurry for the man who ordered RIGHT before me!!! To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Throughout the summer I have gone at the same day at the same time and have never had an issue. Other people who were in line to order after me just ended up leaving because they also wanted flurries. I was excited to go one more time before they close for the winter next week, but I am definitely not going anymore. In my opinion, they should serve what is on their menu until the actual closing time. So, if you go somewhat near closing time, be prepared to not be able to get what you want. I'm so glad I made a stop here during my stay in Grand Blanc. This is an old fashioned type of ice cream place where you walk up to the window, order, then sit outside and enjoy the ice cream. They have a huge variety of flavors to choose from and some were really unique. I got Eskimo kisses which is coconut ice cream with chocolate pieces, it tasted like an almond joy candy bar...delicious. My friend ordered the banana pudding ice cream and let me try it. I was very hesitant to because I thought it would taste like a banana laffy taffy but i was so wrong. The banana flavor is natural and light and refreshing, it really did taste like banana pudding.
