I'm fortunate enough to travel the country for work. I'm somewhere new every month and get to eat at a lot of places. I always ask for recomendations and this place was recommended to us. I've seen in past reviews that the company says they use higher quality ingredients so their prices may be higher. There was nothing special about this place and all of the ingredients I saw were the same quality as any other pizza place would use. There's absolutely no reason my small taco pizza with extra cheese and a water should have cost 17 and some change. $12 tops for that meal (and that's still high) and they would still be making $9 before overhead. I was management in the pizza industry for ten years and have seen the financials so I know how much it costs to make a pizza. If it's costing them more than $3 to make that pizza they need to find a new distributor. They're probably paying between $1.50 and $2 to make the pizza depending on what cheese prices are like these days compared to seven years ago. Their taco pizza was not the best I have ever had or even in the top ten. It was okay. The crust was cheap tasting. All the other ingredients except the Doritos chips, which they called "taco chips," were standard quality. The Doritos chips were soggy and didn't add anything positive to the pizza. I ended up picking them off. Service was good. The only person we delt with was the cashier and she was sweet so no complaints there. It looks like a good place to bring kids. For a kid the pizza is great other than the price. If that's what you're looking for than I think this place would be great but if you're looking for good, adult pizza find...
Read moreI grew up eating here. I love this place. The new arcade section is great for kids and would suggest getting your child a birthday here with their private reservation rooms. I always come during either the lunch buffet or the Wednesday dinner buffet. Wednesday, dinner buffets are loud and busy, but never to the point there's no seats. Their Taco pizza is quite famous, and while good, I personally don't get the hype around it. I do love their pizza, and for whatever reason, their chicken nuggets are good. You can also never go wrong with the oreo fluff dessert and their cheesy breadsticks rival those of pizza ranch. Very good place, and I have never experienced any bad service...
Read moreHad previously gone to the Happy Joes in Crookston with really good experiences, but did not feel the same love when I went to the one in Grand Forks. We were the only people in the restaurant and had to go up to the counter for every need ordering, plates, boxes. Maybe your supposed to go up to order, but we didn’t even get a smiler, hi, or bye when we came and went and the staff never check in us to see how the food was. The food was good, BUT when eating a leftover piece of pizza at home I bit into an EARRING, and I known it wasn’t mine cause I haven’t worn earrings in over a week. So that along with the services equals no more grand forks happy...
