I never write reviews but I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently experienced at this store. I have also left a voicemail and email regarding this issue, but I have not heard back from anyone.
I placed an order through the Taco John’s app and arrived at the store shortly afterward. Despite my prompt arrival, I ended up waiting approximately 45 minutes before the staff even began working on my order and other online orders. During this time, I remained in the store and observed other customers—both inside and in the drive-through—receiving their food within 5–15 minutes of placing their orders.
When I inquired about the delay and the prioritization of app orders, I was met with dismissive responses and no apology for the extended wait. However, I noticed staff apologizing to in-store customers for their wait times. This discrepancy in service is both unacceptable and rude, especially given that the app is heavily promoted in advertisements, coupons, and website as a convenient option for ordering. If app orders are not going to be prioritized appropriately, then it defeats the purpose of using the app at all.
This is not the first time I have encountered such an issue at this store, and I am concerned it will continue if not addressed. I hope someone will look into this matter and implement solutions to improve the app...
Read moredrive thru for 35 minutes. guy in front of me almost backed over my car when he got fed up. I had to honk several times for him to not hit me. when he moved, both drive thru microphones were available. as I drove past the one to go to farthest, as is the polite thing to do..and I wanted others to be able to finally order...I sat there saying hello,??? no answer so only choice I had was to pull to window. he said i don't have an order for you...I said I know obviously the last microphone does not work. please send someone out to put a sign on them...I would just like nachos please . He told me I would have to go thru line again...my lunch break is already over! I said respectfully sir you can make me nachos...no he said others are behind you...go around again. I asked him to understand I just sat in line for my whole lunch break, and they should have had a sign up or a manager out there directing people...he said he would not serve me...I never behave badly...but I gave him the finger..He could have said I am sorry man, can I help you...and take my order...not offered. no apologies for faulty equipment...this site used to have a very nice young man that made my day every day at lunch...havent seen him since new management came in and management sucks. dont go...
Read moreVisited on a Sunday at about 7pm, did not seem especially busy yet it took 20 minutes to receive my order. When I received my order they forgot to put cheese on the tacos! How is this even possible? I also had stale tortillas and bread, cold potato oles, and a churro that was an unseasoned, grease soaked piece of wood. To top it off there was an errant piece of ice cold chicken in the wrapper with one of my tacos; this is just asking to give someone food poisoning.
I tried to call and complain but they will not even answer their phone, it just rings off the hook until you get voicemail. Made a complaint to Taco John's corporate instead.
I never thought I'd see a fast food restaurant that is more poorly ran than the Grand Forks Taco Bell, but Taco John's has managed to outdo them. Taco John's corporate, you need to revoke the franchise of your Grand Forks location as the franchisee has spent the last 5 years running it into the ground. I've been eating at Taco Johns for over 30 years but...
