Kenzie's Be Cafe — Restaurant in Grand Haven

I'm late with my review but I decided to stop and give this place I try. I was craving a smoothie and I am new to the area. My smoothie was unremarkable. First off one of the ingredients I saw on their menu the lady said they no longer sold it. Then why is it still on the menu???

My smoothie seemed on the soft and melted side which isn't appealing for grapes and smoothies for me. The ingredients seemed nothing short of cheap frozen grocery store fruit. Nothing real and organic. I've had better smoothies at Tropical smoothie or smoothie king. I prefer mom and pop places or small businesses. When I initially walked in the young woman at the register just stared at me.

No greeting or anything. I had a question she didn't answer or seem to know how to answer it. Lastly there was literally only two customers that were together, sitting and talking, and having what they ordered. Yet it still took a long time to make my order. I assumed they were making it and they weren't. They were busy talking a lot and making other drinks and the manager was taking a picture of it lol.

While I like the concept of this cafe, the inclusivity, and it's cute and cozy, but I can't say...

They have so many fun drinks! I like oat milk in whatever coffee drink I have. So, I was happy to see they had it as a milk alternative. The coffee cups also have a really cool design on them. The food selection is nice too. I had the sweet potato poblano burrito. I was told the food was from Lake Effect Kitchen. It's nice knowing some local businesses support each other.

The decorations are so fun and beautiful! It's such a sunny and bright café. The only thing that bothered me a little was the loudness of the machines.

Fast, friendly service. Very attentive and polite individuals working the counter that treats everyone like a friend. The fall drinks are yummy and the prices are competitive. Love the vibe of the older building that has been lovingly updated to house this great local business. The wheelchair accommodations are well thought out. My double baby stroller is the width of a wheelchair and I was easily able to turn the corners and not feel like I would hit a wall like I do in some places. Over all, a 10/10 for me. Psst!
