Went here 6/22, 7:45am. No available indoor seating, however we could wait at a outside table or dine outdoors. The couple ahead of us said they'd wait outside and my wife and I said we'd dine outside. Our waitress expressed how buzy she was, we said we'd be patient just don't forget about us, lol playfully. She came back for our drink order 15 minutes later, we said we'd put our food order in also, she said hold on she'd be back quickly. She returned 20 minutes later. Right before she arrived another waitress brought our drinks. We ordered food, the first couple got a table inside, we watched 3 other couples or groups come after us and didn't really wait long and got tables.as of 9:15 we still hadnt got our food or refills, or even seen our waitress. The first couple finished and left offering farewell and best wishes. Then the other 3 couples or groups left one after another kinda looking at us with concern. Finally, at 9:45am I went inside to see what was going on/problem perhaps, I counted 6 empty tables , my waitress and 2 others looking at pictures on one's phone. I asked to pay my bill, and was giving the amount and I replied ' we only had a drink each', she said it wouldn't be long for our food but I saw nobody cooking and nothing was in the window so I said I'll pass thanks, I've been here 2 hours I don't have another hour to wait.. she twisted her face with confusion. All together in 2.5 hours my wife and I had a coke & a apple juice. Never again, I hope it rains all summer on...
Read moreI really don't like writing this review because I love local business. I have not been impressed. I ordered the stuffed hasbrowns. Let e tell you there was plenty of hasbrowns but not a lot of stuff other than onions and mushrooms. I found little bacon and sausage and cheese, but non much. I will say I was impressed with the size. I ate breakfast that morning and then had lunch for 2 days off the leftovers The coffee was good and the waitress was pleasant. The place is small and maybe a little cramped but I love the vibe it has. I would not go with more that 4ppl.... they don't have the space and can fit maybe 20-30ppl Inside. The floors make creaking noises and the walls are filled with local are that is not for sale (as far as I could tell). The walls hanging stuff were also filled with what looked like 100 years of dust. I'm not going to lie it kinda grossed me out cause if the service side was that dirty, what does my fork look like?!?! FYI my fork was clean :) The cafe has a great location right next to the RV park. In the summer it's...
Read moreVisited for the first time on Thursday at 11am, with my boyfriend. It was practically empty. Atmosphere : 4/10 Outside of the building looked a little iffy but the interior was cute. Food: 3/10 I got the most popular item on the menu (Mexican breakfast scramble) and it was very bland. I had to ask for salsa just to give it some type of flavor. My boyfriend described his burger as "very average" Service : 2/10 Our waitress was also the owner and she sat with a group of regulars the entire time, chatting and eating a meal. I had to practically get up to ask for a drink refill and the salsa. She never checked up on us.
Would I recommend this restaurant? No. If you want brunch from a small business, I suggest Carmen's in downtown muskegon or Toast N Jams on Henry st. In muskegon. Both have better food and service. I will probably not...
