My husband and I are on a road trip across America and every sonic we’ve been to has not only given us free ice, but without asking the size, they’ve always given us the largest cup they have. This has got to be the worst experience in any fast food chain let alone sonic we’ve ever been too. Especially because the experience came from THE MANAGER! We came and asked if we could have them scoop some ice in our previous sonic cup because we didn’t want to waste their inventory and cups in general for the environment. They said they couldn’t bring anything back do to COVID, which makes sense. He also said he was not willing to give us a free one, but again, we understand, inventory costs money so we pulled away from the broken drive through, parked, clicked the order button, waited for him to answer, and for the first time ever at any sonic, we paid for a cup of ice. We didn’t know they had a larger cup than the size ‘large’ so when it came back smaller than the FREE cups we’ve gotten in the past, we were confused. We spoke to the guy again and tried to solution seek with him, asked if he would be willing to just scoop ice through the window which prevents any touching and he just WALKED AWAY FROM US in the middle of us asking kindly. As if we were A WASTE OF HIS TIME. I asked him why he had to be so rude and he said because we were making a big deal about 16 cents. No sir, I’m wondering how much I’d have to pay for you to treat your customers with respect? Is there a difference in service if we pay 16 cents vs 3 dollars vs 10 dollars? Like do I have to buy more for you to be kinder? I learned a long time ago that you don’t treat a janitor any different than you treat a CEO. The human decency to treat someone else with kindness wasn’t going to take THAT MUCH of his time. Luckily we’re from out of state, we never have to come back to this one again. The manager had the audacity to wave both of his hands and did a high pitched feminine byyyyyyeeee as if a customer that only paid 16 cents is trash to him. I got back in the car and felt so sad for that sorry soul. He must be so stressed from running a business he forgot how...
Read moreDo Not Eat At This Location!!!!!! It was too late to cook dinner last night so I thought I’d just go down the street and get a burger. When I pulled in, it didn’t seem busy and the person taking my order said it was going to be a little longer to cook a fresh hamburger which I prefer. It took a little longer than I expected but what can you do? I went home 0.4 miles from sonic and when I opened my burger the patty was cold and dry… whatever!! I ate and a couple hours later I went to bed. At around 3am I woke up with the urgent feeling to throw up and had to rush to the bathroom. Everything coming out had a strong sulfur taste and and smell. From 3am-9am I couldn’t stop throwing up. I had to take a day off work because I still feel weak and my stomach still hurts really bad. Now I lose a days pay and could possibly have to pay for a trip to the er. I haven’t eaten at sonic in a long time and this was a reminder that the quality of their food is deplorable and shouldn’t be allowed for human consumption. I saw on the news this morning about a massive beef recall and I’m wondering if they’re selling tainted meat. Do Not Eat At...
Read moreWe ordered via door dash tonight. A chili cheese dog, some jalapeno poppers, a cheese burger & crinkle fries. The cheeseburger apparently went on a vacation & some chili cheese tots decided to fill in as a replacement. Someone’s reading comprehension over there blows. Specifically, Stacy. I called numerous times and luckily on the 7th time ole Stacy answered. She was less than helpful & probably deserves some retraining. I’d be willing to bet if your GM went through camera footage they would agree. Needless to say I was told nothing could be done. The store has opted to not reorder through door dash…so keep that in mind when you order from here, expect for your order to be messed up & be left with no other options. Thank you Stacy, for being the poster child for an,” equal opportunity” hire. You were of absolutely no help tonight. A reply of,” we’re busy so you can call this 1-800 number” is trash customer service… I’m sure that is a direct reflection of your effort while you’re on shift daily. This facility could employ probably 5 felons front the mesa county jail and they would do 10x better than you and your...
