Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

As soon as we walked in the store, we were hit by a strong smell like a bathroom (a not so clean one at that). We had to go outside in the 100 degree heat to eat or ice cream for some fresh air. I needed a spoon to eat my ice cream, so I went back inside and saw the sample spoon container on top of the glass case, within easy reach, so I grabbed one. The female employee (bleached hair, nose ring, you can't miss her) then says to me, "Could you please ask before taking one of those? It's kind of a health safety thing." Now I can appreciate public safety, but please don't put these items with easy reach of the public, without a sign asking to not take them (I carefully checked around to make sure there was no sign). This experience makes me concerned the "Spoon Nazi" will snap at me for something else I failed to read about in the Baskin Robbins Customer Behavior Manual. Really? Hard to take seriously your interest in health safety when your store smells like an unflushed toilet. I like BR, but I'm steering clear...

This is truly a one star store the customer service was horrible. We entered the store which had a sign on the door “must wear face mask before entering ” one of the worker’s a young lady had on a face mask and the other young lady did not. A family came in the store a lady and little girl had on face masks however the gentleman didn’t, he was told he couldn’t come in without a mask, we all questioned her as to why the young lady working was not wearing a face mask she replied she was doing inventory and didn’t need to wear one and she laughed at us and laughed at the situation. The family walked out and stated they were not going to support their business. I call the store to speak to the owner to my surprise he supported the young lady working without the face mask. After a family outing, we wanted to go get some ice cream only to be disappointed because the two young ladies who work there decided they wanted to close early. The time online says they close at 10, the door says 10, another couple comes and don’t understand why y’all are closed either. I call and ask if y’all can open and one girl says y’all can’t bc your closed. I asked for the managers number and I was told no. I was told if I wanted to call and complain I could call tmw bc today was her last day and she does care.
